Its...almost finished...almost assembled...but definitely back on the road ...Fieros are never finished, we all know that Got a lot of "looks like aston martin/maserati" comments on the nose, which is good I guess because if I wanted a ferrari nose its way easier to bold on a 355 style nose. Looks like everybody digs the color...hard to catch on camera though but it looks quite "chique"...the painter admitted today he first thought I was nuts choosing this color...but hey I am a customer.., and he says now it makes sense lol...anyway, you want pics eh?
i think I have grown used to the tan primer.... Made me look into the whole world of autobody primers.. haha Still looks good, but it must be a huge change for you?

lol...I have accepted the new situation pretty fast , now the neigbourhood has to deal with it too Since I got home this afternoon many people stopped by and asked obvious questions like "did you paint it?"...lol...so i didnt got much done.
That is awesome! If you ever do make some of those bumpers for people to buy, I might buy one. Although I would like to take a shot at making my own. Who knows how that will turn out though.
I love that front end. Great choice with the grill work using black in the center and silver under the lights. I've got to have that front end- imagine how much nicer it would look on a Notchie! Please let me know if you ever decide to sell it. I might have to go back through this thread and make it myself, I don't know how long I can wait...
edit:
I just can't stop staring at it! I can't imagine anyone comming out with a more perfrect look for me to have on the front of my car. That with the Aus scoops I'm still putting on... the wheels are spinning!
edit: back again!

Fie the paint job looks fantastic ! The car really came out well.
Just one thought though, and maybe i am not the only one to notice, but now that you have that nice shiney paint job, the rims seem to be a little dull (in shade) in comparison.
Don't get me wrong I love the style, it just seems like they need to be polished up, chromed or something to bring them up to the brilliant level of the paint.

Thats because they were pretty dirty I guess, cleaned they already look better...unless I find a sponsor for bigger wheels I will keep these for a while
Theres a lot of clean up and finishing to do but its fun and the weather is great (record breaking temperatures this "autumn" weekend!). Preparing Doug's quarterwindows with the supplied tape:
Now you just need to hurry up with the engine swap lol. The 2.8 looks a little out of place in a car that sharp. Never knew mercedes built military style vehicles, thought it was kind of funny when i saw your neighbours new toy. Do you have any clue if you can get the Fiero Martini stuff in Canada?
its an '67 Unimog with 10Kmiles. Used before by the german army and a dutch forest firebrigade....this will pull out any stuck Blazer or Jeep
I have to agree my pretty stock engine doesnt look funky...so I quickly photoswapped the L67 after swapping the bottle of Fiero...lol.. this could be a fancy bbq
Found out my local supermarket (50 meters away!) has it also, so i got it for the occasion...I smell a beter business than selling bodyparts

Nice Mog. A friend of mine as one he bought from the casino in S Lake Tahoe. Schmitt cab on it is a bit goofy. they used it to plow th lot with,Minimal miles. He did some mods to it, now he runs gear into the Rubicon for events, and helps clear the "road" ( the Rubicon trail is acualy labled a road by the USFS) after snow knocks some trees down to get it ready for the season of wheeling. It's a beast.

thats hot - the color even reminds me of an A/M.. should get a lot of attention wherever you go
I use it on both sides untill the sealant has cured....better not forget to take em off before driving..lol Tried finding a location to do the Fiero emblem "mod"....
hmm..I really hate needing a license plate...theres another setup I will try tomorrow.. And theres still a lot of other small adjustments and detailing to do...yeehaa! more updates later..cheers
