Working on getting the tail lights straight. What i had done was just a close mock of what it was supposed to be but now its time to get them straight and true. First i routered out 2 templates out of wood for the shape i wanted and screwed them to the back.

You can see by the spacing that i need to fill with glass and sand a bunch !

Its definatly alittle off !! Dang my eyesight !

Taped off you can clearly see what needs to be done. Going to glass in the inside and fill in the outside and make some smooth curves

They look like the ones you get at the truck stops for the trailers.

Did you buy an actual hood, or did you find similar vents? I have been looking, but only option so far was an entire hood. Thanks for the info!

Hey, night, the hood is a fiero hood. I bought a 04 mustang cobra hood and cut the center section out. Then i narrowed it to 1.5" between the vents and then cut and bonded it to the fiero hood. There a similar vents out there but i thought this one was the best, thou not the cheapest.

As for the cobra vents being the best, I completely agree, I dont mind so much the cost of the hood, but shipping on top of it

After Contemplating the next "mod" , after eyeing the car for hours from every angle and wanting to do something with the rear windows i decided to add some " hips" , to bring in the rear alittle and apply alittle more shape to her body. 1st ...remove rear quarter windows and hesitate !

Time to cut and never look back....god knows !!

After the cut i pulled it in 3" which cracked up alittle by the roof because of expansion, will glass that as well.

Now to cut the lower quarter window edge and move that in.

Outside for a quick look before i cut the other side. The rear roof spoiler will be taken off and trimmed to fit the narrower roofline

Wash rinse and repeat to the other side. Took alittle longer because it had to be the same as the other side. I ended up triming off 1" off each side of the rear lid to accomadate it to open. I will add what i cut to the car to fill in the gaps. As for now i narrowed the roof spoiler and lowered it abit from the height it was last time. Was alittle to high and from the front it looked wierd. Now lower you can barely see it from the front and the side view looks swooping.

This is my friday night !! LOL

Nice tweek Bozzie !

I have been eyeing my car and was leaning again toward doing the exact same thing (more hip)..

I had specifically asked Dean to do it, but he was convinced it would not look good and did not do it.

Boz did you have to remove the clip and glass on the underside ??

BTW thanks for my new screensaver for the week !

Hey Exoticse ! , Glad you like it. I wasnt sure at first and i think i have only seen this mod done on chop tops. I actually really like it. I did not remove the rear clip to glass the inside. I glassed all around it and its plenty strong. I used 3 layers of matt on all bonds, and sometimes maybe more in places. Its prob a good thing Dean didnt do it cause you might not of got'n your beutiful ride back ! Your timing was perfect with bringing her home. There are more tweeking ideas in the mist and would love to see what you may do with it.

P.S. Think we might both be getting our wheels around the same time !!
