well today i have the fiero running but not good it sounds like only half the engine is running so i will pull the other 4 plugs and put some good clean ones in and i will check to see that the firing order is right by testing each coil in tuner studio to make sure i wired it right but i will get it running right as i always do it just takes time to sort every thing out and i also have more go fast parts for the boat coming like turbo parts i have decided i will have to build my own turbo headers for it but the turbo stuff is next summer

yesterday i called the machinist I use and told him to start working on my dual belt crank pulley for the supercharger and today he called and said it was ready so the supercharger will be run by two 6 groove belts instead of the one 6 groove belt that should take care of any slippage i will post pic of the pulley but it will be at least 2 weeks before i pull the engine and make what I need to make it work

Hope the pulley upgrade goes well for you and your tenacity to get this thing right is really second to none! (BTW, Didn't know Home Depot had those soldering irons...)

Now.....my wife might have a bone to pick with you..."why all of a sudden do you want a boat; and what the hell is a jet boat anyway? But honey, they had the 455 Olds in them...............(crickets)................" (oh well).

BR's,

Mark

Yes, please! It's that "ragged edge" sound that I miss.

Out of curiosity, what is the approximate idle speed in that video? (...because it does seem quite smooth.)

Ok the engine is all out it took 3 hours as i struggled with the throttle body getting it off the supercharger as it had a few socket cap screws that striped the heads out so that took a extra half hour

I must need to play the lottery as i am lucky the guy who picks up my scrap metal came in today and i told him i wish i din't get rid of the parts engine i gave him i told him i needed the crankshaft timing belt pulley so he spoke up and said it is your lucky day i haven't brought that in for scrap yet and you can come over and take the pulley off that you need so i did and now the timing belt is back on and i am assembling the rest of the engine .

I'm a great believer in not getting rid of anything. You never know when it might come in handy.

Of course, now I can't find whatever I'm looking for as I have way too much stuff.

i think i am going to need to do some more machining for the second belt tensioning system as where i have it bolted to seems to be out of square so it is not square to the crankshaft pulley and every thing must lineup and be square to the crankshaft pulley
