And here is the shifter boot at it's new home:
I will get to the E-brake boot this weekend.
The shifter boot is a perfect fit. I rolled the edges in due to the short shifter and all is fine. It doesn't hang up or get stressed when shifting thru the gears.
I would say on a 1 to 10 scale these are 12's!!!!
Big THANKS to Tom.

Any chance you could do a shift boot with the same stitching style as the p.brake boots, so you could see the stitching, and so they'd match better? I know it's not as OEM, but I think it'd be a nice touch...

Thats a good question. On the shifter boots I dont top stitch them as I have not figured out a way to do it at all. I have tried for sure. Here is the issue. The first three seams are easy to do but to do the fourth seam correctly you need to have a machine with the size of the opening of the boot to slide through. WIth the boots its about less than an inch that would be just about imposable for me to do. However there is a way to do it but I dont like doing it that way as it is not the right way and not a true top stitch. what I can do is stitch the color into the boot then sew it closed but there will be a flex in the boot. Not the best way to do it but about the only way. I just rather do them the best that I can and found that to be without the stitching on them. BUt I am always willing to help where I can.
Sounds like you tried the other way? Could you PM me a pic of it so I can see the problem you're describing? It might not be so bad...If you're like me, I tend to be overly perfectionist, and my own worst critic.

You can use the regular Fiero plastic ones and all your leather products to mach If you can make this magic for a reasonable price $20-35, I'm in for one. (cores are easy to come by).
Thanks.

I have been looking to do this. The issue that I am running into at this time is cost. To get a spool of quality leather thread to stitch with is close to 100.00 and the leather tools run up to another 50.00. I would think in a few months that I will be able to do this kind of work. I want to practice a bunch on a few things I have here like the wheels and shifter in the indy to see what happenes. I will keep you posted. But yes soon I will.
I have got a deal on black carbon fiber style for a one time order. There for I can do sets now for the 50.00 price and not the standard 60.00 price. Lets get you ready for the 25th.
Recieved my package yesterday, my neighbor got it by mistake. Can't wait to get my car together, thanks. Don't forget I'm still waiting for that t-shirt design. I will be ordering another headliner kit for my wife's Fiero in about two weeks from now.
