the last one I saw on ebay sold for over $60 plus shipping

I couldn't stand the stock V6 one anymore myself, felt like driving a rat rod with the ape hanger shifter.

I may have a parts car coming to visit that I can rob the shifter arm from to send to you to make one for me... Are the years all interchangable? I have an 84 Indy but want to keep my stock one intact incase a full restoration occurs and I want to revert back.

As I have not messed at all with mine, what all is involved in swapping shifter arms from stock to yours?

All the pics are working for me.
Install includes remove the shifter suround, pull 1 pin on 1 cable, pop off a C-clip holding the shifter on, and slide the shifter off, then reverse to install. Very easy. on a 4 speed you have to pull the clip holding the reverse light switch too. all very easy and all years interchange.

The shortened one. Im comparing it to Rodney's final installed height. Just educating myself before i take the plunge either way...

Looks like 4 3/4 -5 inches, to the top of the knob. Mine is leather wraped so that adds like an 1/8 in too.
