I am selling modified used and new(reman'd) boosters which I have modded to work in the Fiero. As per thread above.
UPDATE: I now have the tools and equipment to disassemble the boosters and reassemble them. I no longer have to weld the rods together.
I disassemble both boosters, remove the Fiero pushrod and install it into the bigger booster. Then reassemble the bigger booster and vacuum test the booster for leaks and make sure they provide brake assist. I also removed the Fiero bracket and add it to the bigger booster.
As plug and play as you're going to get, (since I cannot mod your car for you, for fitment ) You will NOT find another more plug and play, ready to go booster.
**** There is a CORE CHARGE **** Unfortunately I need your old booster back now, (as prices went up, and well.. due to needing boosters) But buy doing so, I will be able to offer this service forever. Better brakes for everyone
This is the BEST brake upgrade you can do, day and night difference. I have done the big rotor upgrades for people and nothing compares to this. And this works with all the bigger rotor upgrades too, to get even more out of your big rotor upgrade. . . . . Pricing ***************** Modified new booster $170 (rebuilt) (these are gray Black in color) + $50 Core, Fully refundable upon return of old booster. As long as your core is shipped out to me by 30 days of you receiving your new one. *************** + Shipping ********** USA $29 (I know $29 for shipping, but that is what I get charged now, rates went up) Canada $58 Australia $84 (Have to find out after rate increase)
I use paypal and ship Fed-ex. All boosters are tested before they are shipped out. . . . . .
DISCLAIMER: (as with all brake upgrades) For off road use only, Buyer takes all responsibility for anything that may or may not happen with this swap.
If you want one let me know and it is about 2 days out from order.
Here are a couple of pics of the new(reman'd) booster. It has all new rubber inside and new seals. Basicly it is brand new, even the steel inside looks new. It also has a rust proof coating on the outside. I have allready modded this one with the Fiero pushrod and bracket.
These are used thus misc minor scratches etc. (I am only selling the new(remaned) now.
Here are sample pics of the first one I did for my Fiero. (Thus the dirt in the pic, I haven't wiped it off yet)
Here are some pics of the size difference from the stock to bigger booster.
Here are some pics of where the Fiero needs to be "modded" for the bigger booster to fit. I scraped off the paint where it was dented to show better in pics. (this was done on a test fit junk car) It's really not much.

I'm very interested in getting one of these. I have the 12" rotor upgrade on a 88. I also run a big XP cam on a 3800 and my vacuum is greatly affected by the cam. Wondering how this would help and give me a really nice pedal feel, etc.

The math says about 50% increase in brake pressure, for a given vacume, compared to a stock booster. On my GT it made it feel more like a new car's brakes, it makes the hard pedal softer and more managable. So instead of having to stand on the pedal for max brake effort, I can do it now without having to strain at all.

Questions people have asked in PMs so I figured I would post them.
Do I have to cut off the bracket on my Fiero booster? No, These boosters come with the Fiero bracket allready attached.
Do these boosters come ready to install? Yes, everything about modding the booster is done. I combined a Fiero booster and a bigger one to make one bigger booster ready to go.
Is there a core charge? No, not at this time.
Are your boosters made in China? I modify OEM boosters for OEM quality, and the remanufactured boosters I use are rebuilt in America. I wouldn't trust my life to a chinese booster.
Can you moddify a new booster? Yes, I have allready modded new boosters for people.
How does this compare to the threaded rod? This is the correct rod from a Fiero booster, and no threads to strip out.
Do I have to dent my Fiero very much? No, it takes very little denting to fit. First you test fit it, see where it touches, remove it, hit the spot it touched with a hammer, and repeat. I do it untill I can slide a peice of paper between the car and the booster.
What if I don't have paypal? I can send you a paypal invoice to your email you can pay with a credit card. . . .

I will need one soon. Not this check but certainly withing the next few. Starting a brake swap soon figure might as well do a booster while im changing everything else.
Just wanted to say how easy it was installing sardonyx's modified brake booster. It was literally as simple as remove old one, hammer out a little clearance, and install new one. This is as easy as it gets folks and for not a terrible price either. Two thumbs up.
