Having deck lid clearance issues?
These mounts will help with that…………………………

Custom 1” lowering Getrag manual transmission mounts developed by fellow member for his 3800 L67 manual swap.
These replace the stock tranny mounts completely so no part of the stock mount will be re-used.
Stamped 3/16 “steel, professionally welded includes poly bushings and grade 8 bolts.
Have been used in many swaps with great success and no failures - some swaps exceeded 300hp.
Work with stock 2.8 as well. I used them in my LQ1 swap with no issues. Please note that on the LQ1 swap, clearance on the pulley side to the shock tower is close and all cradles are not made exactly the same.
You may need to make the slotted holes in the cradles longer (going towards the driver side of the car) due to this fact.
http://s733.photobucket.com...er/BillTrannyMounts/

Tranny Mounts $225
Shipping on the mounts $12.95 (fixed rate USPS box)
(International rates will be applied at time of shipment)

Payment made via Paypal – PM me for info

**Please note that I am not in the business of making mounts, only trying to move what had already been built. I do this in my free time so expect some delays unless I agree to put a rush on your order. I have about 20 sets to move and when gone, that’s it.

My guess would be yes if using the stock Fiero tranny.
I have no knowlage of it being done with these tranny mounts.

These mounts are awesome! The quality and construction is unmatched by any of others available. BTW the cradle reinforcement bracket will work on 84-87s too.

I purchased a set of the 1 inch lowering Getrag manual transmission mounts for my LQ1 swap and they are perfect. Not only is the quality top notch, but the fit and finish and ease of installing them is first rate. I am very happy with my purchase and it has made my engine swap so much easier. If you are doing the LQ1 swap, you will have to slot your cradle to the drivers side to get that perfect fit...(to keep the pulley away from the shock tower)...other than that...they are absolutely perfect!!!

How does this position a 3800sc oil pan in the cradle? Like is it below the cradle, flush or how many inches above being flush? Im curious if this would allow an IC to be added w/o knotching the deck lid...

I am told by one of our customers that used a 1" IC that it cleared the deck lid.
So I guess it does help.

I would apsolutely buy a set of mounts (they look very professional) unless I swapped to Gertag F23 and have to find a mount for it. I´m very interested in how you guys drop the DOHC engine mount.

Not really sure what your asking but I'll give it a go.
I think your asking how we were able to drop the tranny mounts 1 inch.
If you compare stock mounts to these you will see the connection points are vastly different.
Our angles to the cradle and the bushing we use drop the connection point to their lowest point.
Hope that helps?
For a LQ1 we use the stock front motor mount bracket with a Energy Suspension/Transmission Mount
[
In this picture you can also see the type of dog-bone we use in both the L67 and LQ1 swaps

Hope this helps

Thanks. It cleared the picture. I have 87 GT but I´m building separate 88 cradle with 3,4 DOHC and f23 trans. I used 87 engine mount/bracket and 88 rubber mount but it pushed the engine too much forward. Got the 88 bracket from PFF friend and now the engine seems to sit in correct place but it looks I should use Energy suuspension mount to lower the engine. I have Fiero Getrag in the car at the moment, so your trans mounts would be perfect in it, however I´m going to keep that original and do the swap so that I can switch back when wanted.

Wow! Really? That's kind of a low blow isn't it? I could "afford" them at your original non sale price, I just chose not to spend that much at the time. I am working on someone else's budget, and I have already purchased a competitors set. I really don't need two sets but was willing to take that risk as I wanted to see how yours stacked up against what I normally do to set up the engine and trans. I'm insulted that you would think that I'm the stereotypical cheap Fiero owner, when instead I am merely trying to stay within a customers limited budget.. Now, 11 bucks wouldn't kill his budget but, I had no idea what the shipping cost was. Nor did you state that in either of your "weekend" sale posts (here and and in general) and was really asking to see if it was included or was extra. To which, you could have just simply replied that shipping was an extra 11 bux instead of the insult. It's too bad too, I think your set looks like a winner and was excited to try something different out. -Jason

BTW: I'm not cheap, I'm frugal...
