I'm going to be starting a '87 GT SC L67 5 speed swap in the very near future (buying engine tomorrow, car to come in the next week or 2). I'm in the market for mounts and will keep you in mind!
TXGOOD Shipped You have a PM Thanks for the order and I have the cradle supports when your ready.
Thanks, got the tracking number. If you are referring to the cradle stiffener I ordered one of those from you for my 88GT but I sold it before I installed it so I still have it to use. Mike
Got the mounts. Very fast shipping. These things are very nice. Top-notch edges and very nicely welded. Now I either have to find a 4.9 lowered engine mount or fab my own. Mike
Will these mounts work to lower it enough to clear the Alternator being in the up position ...so I don't have to cut my trunk lid?
...I have the power steering pump being utilized with a WCF power steering upgrade.
If you are talking about a 4.9 alternator clearing I`m not sure. I think it mainly helps with reversing the valve covers and lowering it enough where the front one won`t hit the passenger side hinge bracket.

We did an 88 recently with a 3800 SC and with some fine tuning we were able to not have to cut the deck lid. On a pre 88 the hoods supports are different and we have to remove around an 1/2 in.
Pontiac TransSport Van will have the bracket you need to make the front mount. Fits the 3800 and Fiero cradle. Some ears will need to be cut off. For the poly mount use: http://www.4wheelparts.com/...ng9L0CFQWTfgodXIcA7A
A question was brought up to me about using these drop brackets so I thought I would ask about anybody`s experience with these. If you lower the tranny 1" and you lower your car say 1-1/2" will that put the axle at much of an angle, so as to cause the ends of the axle to be under stress?
Many swaps with high HP have been done with these with no issues brought to or attention. Stock setup, the axles slope slightly down toward the wheels. With the drop, that will reverse slightly. Depending on how low you go would determine the angle. I can only say that we have done a few cars that are only 2" off the ground and the CV joints have not failed. One has over 60k since the conversion. Hope this helps--------------------
Yea, that`s what I thought. I remember my 88GT was lowered about 1-1/2" but the axles still didn`t seem perfectly in line. It seemed as though the tranny was slightly higher so this should work out well.
