We have enjoyed this build alot, we may do more. I know we were in the talks of a Fastback/Notchie mixed back clip, possibly a new back bumper too.

If you go to the forum page in the cunstruction zone : 68-69 GTO Nose - The Project Has Begun, you will see that you will be able to use your existing eggcrate that goes under the bumper, no cutting required. Also, you will see that the turn signals will be in the factory locations. We have not yet reveiled the grill that goes in the front bumper that hides the signals until they are on (but they are very cool looking).

This is not accurate. Jason is thinking of the metal bumper bar. The bumper has been formed over the metal bumper bar in place. They are all identical as far as I know. The plastic eggcrate will NOT be able to be used without heavy modification. We have discussed offering the bumper filled on the inside with the same foam that we used to begin this process. The foam would not only help the bumper hold its shape for the long term, it would likely help dissipate any front impact force over a larger area. Of course we will not be crash testing these so they will technically be "for off road use only".

The foam fill option would be an added cost option to the base price of the bumper.

A rough estimate is between 50 and $100 extra for the material, process, and shipping cost increase.

How much do you think shipping is going to be on something that large?

I honestly have no idea. Naturally I won't be able to get an estimate until I have a finished product and have decided how best to pack it to ensure safe delivery. My best advice would be to check the threads of other people selling bumpers and see what they are quoting. That should give you an idea.

I will try to work with any buyers in any way I can. That means that these will be available for pick-up here if that is something you would prefer. There is always more than one way of delivering a product. I was lucky enough to buy an 88 cradle in the Mall from one member and got it delivered by a completely different member. When folks are traveling and want to work a deal along the way, I have no problem with that. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Checking with Grey Hound, they are going to be $150 roughly + or - $25 for the ones with foam.

OK, here is where we stand at the current moment.
The bumper is still going to be manufactured. We are trying to get back together since the winter break to get things rolling again. As of now we are approaching the final stages for production. More to come when we get it rolling ready!

Perhaps you could post some recent pictures of the prototype?

I'm selling some parts to try to fund this project.

I have a t-top kit that is minus a few items - I have a thread here in the mall for it.

I have a front end bra that I will be posting soon.

I have a PON GT tail light with a crack.

Lots of little things that I could let go. Might be easier for you to tell me what you need. I have multiples of many things and only need parts to rebuild one of my other cars.

PM me with your needs!

The plan is to paint the first bumper red and mount it on my GT. In that process, we will see if there are any fitment issues and we can write up some installation instructions. It will also be our photo model and rolling advertisement.
