We need an injector for the 87 or 88 throttlebody on a Duke. Email, PM or post what you have and price.

I've got a complete TB from an 87. The engine was out when I bought the car, but I know the p.o. pulled it because of a spun rod bearing, so it had been running. (When I tore it down for curiosity's sake I found two other pistons had cracked rings, and the 4th had a blown headgasket.) The throttle blade is a bit stiff, but it still has all the sensors, the injector and iac.

$15 to cover shipping and it's yours.

I don't really need the throttle body. It's to go into an 88 and I think the 87 TB is different? I'd be happy to pay $15 for the injector.

The 87 and 88 TB should be the same. Should bolt right on.
The earlier ones were different.

Raydar is correct, the 22p lists pn 17111908 as the service number for both 87 and 88. It's easier for me to just ship the whole thing, but if you'd prefer just the injector, that's fine. I'll pm you my paypal info, just let me know which way you'd like.

I guess we could put the throttle body back as a spare. Another club member has an 88, so it might come in handy at some time. Going to check PM's.

Thanks.

We're having a problem with the engine shutting down. No trouble codes, it just shuts down. Tapping on the injector while cranking generally gets it started again. When rolling along the highway and it shuts down, bump starting it doesn't work, but turning the ignition to OFF for about 5-f10 seconds will allow it to restart. My thinking is that the coil in the injector is breaking down. Given a few seconds to cool down allows it to restart.

I installed the injector from your throttle body this afternoon and it starts, runs and drives well, but so did the original. It will go on a 30 mile or so run tomorrow so we'll see what happens and if that's the solution. Thanks for being so generous on the throttle body. If the injector doesn't fix it, well, hey, we've got a spare should we ever need it.
