I also sold my Automoda a couple of weeks ago, but I still have my other Fiero. The Automoda just wasn't a good fit for me. (Didn't care anything about a 'vert, but was made an offer I couldn't refuse. And so it goes...)
If you're done with Fieros, I wish you well in the "next best thing" - whatever that may be. |

Good and fair question, Raydar -
I can't say that I'm completely, 100% done with Fieros - my brother (and possibly soon, my niece) has my first Fiero (listed on my signature), and after owning and working on them for 25 years, I can't say that I'd be a good brother or uncle to deny them my experience if they need it when comes the time to work on it.
With the Formula, it took 14 years to be able to begin my original dream of an Automoda convertible (I had that in mind back in 1990 before I even bought my first one - had plans to convert that one, but Automoda had gone out of business before I had the chance to do it), and, so many years pre-internet (for me, at least), I had no way to track one down or even know what happened to the company. Fast forward to the last few years, and with the help and communication of many sources, bit by bit, I was able to create what I'd envisioned 25 years ago. Now it's the foundation for someone else's dream, and that makes me very happy.
I also have a friend that still owns his Formula, and with everything he has helped me with over three decades, I could never, in good conscience, deny him help with his.
So... completely 'done'...? Probably not.
Done
owning Fieros? Yes.
It's time for me to be enthusiastic about something less... needy... than a 25 year-old car with a couple (or three) hundred thousand miles on it. It's time to be enthusiastic about a vehicle that will become a part of me and my personality, but with MUCH less stress about age and mechanical difficulties, and far more focus on enjoying it with my loving wife, in the mountains, on the highway, around town, and in general. Time will tell what I finally find to take the Fiero's parking spot inside the garage. I've got a couple ideas, but not sure yet if those ideas will pan out. But even if they don't, life is good...
