Looking for a Fiero 85-88 Empty SHELL, Don't want the engine, don't want body panels, or Interior, just a Rolling Shell w/ column for a "Maybe Project". Must be located NEAR Ocala , Fla 34470 (otherwise shipping is prohibitive) Thanks

What about without rear cradle?
I just got an 87 to rep[lace my 85 GT. But the drive train, I'm keeping.
I got the 85 about 2 1/2 years ago. Cosmetically challenged. A little frame rail rust but not awful. Had put in an 93 3800sc then a 98 sc. Then someone hit it while parked. No metal damage, but took me 3 months to find the right rear bumper cover. Was starting to work on the rear clip. Then all I would have needed was a left tail light.
Well someone came through a stop sign. Taking out the front bumper cover, bumper egg crate, right fender, hood and put the bumper reinforcement just in front of the right inner fender. Of course crushing the metal there and ripping some of it off the space frame.
If it didn't need paint, a windshield, other panel work, if the inside was nicer and I had a place to keep it while doing the metal work I would keep it. Maryland has marked it as a savage title. I got about 8 weeks to strip it and get it out from where it is.
But the drive train, rear cradle, tank and wiring from the center consoll back is coming out. The dash sucks. The steering column I went through last year.
I also have 2 deck lids, hood and rear clip(notchie) I was going to put in.

2002z28ssconv is offering me one, If I can find the $ to "get it here", that would be "superb". Actually I'm wanting to "Chop the top".(was a bodyman for 40 years so "I think" I can handle it, done other types of cars) if it turns out ok, maybe I can do it for others who can't afford a major expense and cannot do it them selves.

UPDATE : Chuck was good enough to furnish me with a starting point. This is what I started with, and after 5 days. top is down 3 1/2". The entire tail end will change and the rear (maybe front also) wheel openings will widen about 2". Not sure what the front grille work will be yet.
