I am currently selling Auto dim rear view mirror kits. These kits are made by me, and fully tested before shipment. I installed one in my 87 GT and my 08 Pontiac Torrent and it makes driving after dark much more enjoyable. Details are as follows.

$50 pays for: 1 Auto dim mirror (Whichever configuration you want), 1 Premade Wiring harness, Install instructions, & shipping.
$90 pays for: 1 Auto dim mirror (Whichever configuration you want), 1 Premade Wiring harness, A wireless backup camera kit, Install instructions, & shipping.

$50 Mirror configurations are:
Basic (Auto dim ONLY, No Compass or Temp)
Wide Basic (Auto DIM ONLY, No compass or temp) Approximately 2 inches wider than stock Fiero Mirror
Auto dim with compass
Auto DIM with compass and MAP lights
Auto dim with compass and Temp

$90 Configurations are:
Auto dim with Backup camera screen (No Compass or Temp) (Includes wireless backup camera kit)

Mirrors with backup camera screens will need a wire to connect to a reverse signal wire to turn the screen on in the mirror.

If you want a mirror with temp display, you will need to purchase an ambient air temp sensor from your local parts store (cross reference part number SU8235) & wiring harness (GM Part Number 12101856) Instructions will specify where to mount this sensor on Fieros.

If you want a mirror with a compass, instructions will be included to properly calibrate it for your region.

Also, these mirrors can be installed on any vehicle, instructions will be easy to follow, and wires numbered to make the installation easy.

If you are interested, please send a PM with the configuration of your choice. I won't ask for payment until your mirror is packed up and ready to ship. Payments via PayPal only.

Thanks

Here are the link to pictures of one of the mirrors, the first is normal the second is dimmed. (My camera didn't pick up the screen very well when it was dimmed, but you can still see the screen when it is dimmed.)

Small question. On my setup (see sig), the cabin vibrates pretty bad (solid mounts, solid everything. My current stock mirror is kinda loose but it vibrates like crazy (just like if you had bass turned up stupid loud on a car). I'm wondering if one of your mirrors would do the same? I'm sure it's because of the old mirror but I figured I'd ask first.

It possible that it may vibrate if you switch to an autodim, then again it may not. Your stock mirror may have some minor damage that is causing it not to firmly screw down onto the puck. If you wanted an autodim, the vibration won't affect it. I have a massive 2000 watt subwoofer in my 08 Pontiac Torrent and I installed an autodim mirror in it and the vibrations haven't caused any problems.

Its difficult to tell sometimes, I'd recommend, if you want to get an autodim, try a plain mirror first, and see if you still have the vibrations. That way you'll know if its the mirror itself, or just something that can't be avoided on your setup.

How big is the mounting slot? Or rather, is the mounting slot wider than stock? I replaced my windshield and it came with a wider mounting puck so the stock mirror barely fits over the tip and thus falls off regularly.

The mirrors fit well on the stock puck. I'm not sure how they would fit on an aftermarket mirror puck.

Also, here is a picture of the harness.

Mirror showed up and looks great! Instructions are super easy to follow, should be able to install it tomorrow! Thanks Bishop!

You wouldn't happen to know the part number for the pig-tail to plug into the temp sensor, would you?

Ok I think I would like to get one with the compass and temp. I can get the sensor from autozone but I have no idea where to get the wiring that plugs into the sensor. If you can supply the information then I am down for one.

Thank You

I installed the mirror and the temp sensor today! Works great, though I may have to move my sensor as the temp is reading a few degrees higher than the true temperature after the rad fan turns on...

The harness that you need to plug into the ambient temperature sensor is:

GM part number: 12101856

The wire that you connect to ground is: if you are looking directly at the face of the GM connector for the sensor (at the pins with the "clip" facing up), the pin on the right is the ground, pin on the left gets connected to the mirror harness.

Looking directly at front face of harness: ( - T - )
(this side is connected to harness from mirror) ( - T - ) (this side is ground)

I really think it doesn't matter. It's just a resistance, that varies with temperature.

On the instructions, he says to connect it to the "gray wire" off the harness... The both the wires are gray on the harness! I didn't check to see if it worked both ways!

I'm very interested in the garage door opener! Saw you are working on a reverse screen option too, this is also intriguing. I'll hold out until these updates are ready. Looking forward to the progress!

Not being well versed in car wiring, do these connect into the map light for power or do wires need to be run elsewhere (non temp model)?

Saw the replies about the temperature sensor have two grey wires. I didn't know they came that way (oops). Mine has a grey and a black wire, so I just assumed they were all like that....

Nope, the mirror has to be wired to an ignition switched circuit, otherwise the mirror will drain the battery when the car is off. The map lights have power supplied to them at all times!

So, I've been informed about the temp sensor picking up radiator heat when the fan kicks on. Appologies, I didn't test mine enough for the fan to come on. So, I'd advise to move the sensor to the area where the spare tire is located. It has a seal and should be isolated from the radiator heat.

Got mine hooked up tonight. Works great. Didn't connect the temp sensor though. Didn't have it yet and I can't seem to find the harness to connect to it? At least the mirror doesn't shake like there's an earthquake behind it. I'm not worried too much about the temp though. I just use my phone.

Ok, I have a new configuration available. Autodim with Backup Camera Screen. These do NOT have compass or temp (As of now, I have not picked up any with the compass/temp display yet, when I do, I'll update again.) These will be $90 (Which still covers shipping, wiring harness, and instructions, but also pays for a wireless backup camera kit which will come with the mirror.) I'll add this to the original post too.

When I installed my temp sensor in my Formula, I placed it in the opening in the lower fascia, in front of the radiator. It seems to be fairly accurate. The fan doesn't seem to affect it.
Probably, the farther in front of the radiator, the better.

If I could not make it work there, I would probably mount it in the black cowl panel, under the rear edge of the hood. In the shade, out of direct sunlight.

Where did you get the 12101856 harness/plug that goes into the sensor? Is this a GM dealer only part?
