I installed one of these $400/pair sets last summer and used the FS two sided tape, etc. Yesterday the driver side blew off on the Interstate without my knowledge.

A new set has been ordered with FS and they are on a 2-3 week backorder.

I only need the driver side and am selling the passenger side for half what I pay for the pair plus freight.

This time I'm having an auto glass shop install them with windshield adhesive.

The next step is to remove my passenger side for safe keeping before it falls off. I think the high heat this week, near 100F, played a role in the bond of the two sided tape.

JUNE 30 UPDATE: CANCELLED MY ORDER WITH FIERO STORE.

For the future, it is VERY important that a silicone bead is under the leading edge lip where my arrow is. The entire front edge should be glued in place to keep air from getting under the panel and pulling it off at high speed. My original GT had a black bead of silicone from the factory all along the leading edge. People forget about that when they replace the panels.

This is how mine looked after removing the factory panels:

Thanks. I've owned this '88 since 1998 so the panels were likely original. When I removed them last summer there was only the white tape and none of the important sealant at that leading edge. Tonight I removed the passenger side as a preemptive move.

I don't recall the FS instructions saying anything about that important area.
