Does the stock Fiero have a 1.5 DIN slot?
So your updated skeleton moves the HVAC panel to the bottom of the stack and squeezes in a double DIN above it? Does it keep the center stack vents?
I guess that means that the buyer has to make a trim panel to fit.

Stock Fiero is 1.5 DIN.
There is at least one person (maybe others) doing double DIN trim panels. I've got one. (Zack Stewart on FB.)
It works as you described. HVAC on the bottom. Radio in the center. Vents on the top.

Sounds like a good deal as long as the vents are still there. I ask because removing the center stack vents to install gauges is somewhat common in the E30 community... absolute lunatics.

I have thought about taking the dash corner vents and turning them on their sides, placing them in (narrower) center stack vents. Would require some tweaking behind the faceplate, but may allow for more room below, to play with, for headunits and such.

If a double DIN fits without messing with the vents, I'm fine with not messing with the vents.
I'm thinking more about data loggers and track-oriented systems than tunes & beats anyway.

Do you sell the face plate to go with the double din set up? Nice work!

Very nice product, I’m very interested in one. I’ve read thru twice so sorry if I missed it but is there a difference between the black and grey other than the obvious (color and price). Thanks.

Just received mine this morning.
It's almost too nice to put the outer console on, over it.
Good show, Matt!

That's pretty cool, I'll probably need one in the future, first have to determine if my 84 is worth saving.

After years of multiple repairs with my soldering iron and epoxy patching, this last time removing the dash was the final straw. Was now beyond repair
Finally got a chance to install mine:
Very well done. Nice and sturdy.
Thanks for offering this.

Matt... Completed! Sent an email to the address at the top of your post.
A finished pic. I should mention that my old skeleton was in decent shape. I bought this one for the sole purpose of installing my 2-DIN head unit. Well worth it.
