When the cars were initially imported from the USA into Canada the exchange rate probably wasn't 40%
So it was easier to afford them before the big price increase and degradation of the Canadian dollar. 10 years ago we were pretty much at par, 8 years ago 10% and now the dollar is at nearly 40% exchange when you factor in the fees so it's rough when someone wants USD prices in Canada. 15K USD is 21K cad.
I think that plays a big role in how the cars came up and why they are all leaving.
