I finally got around implementing a much better search engine for PFF. It took me a few days of programming but it was well worth it (IMO anyway).

The new search can do boolean searches (much like the old one), and - and this is new - can also do phrase searching. Results can be sorted by either date or relevance - a much requested feature. For an overview of its features, go here.

I like the new search. But can you fix the links in the memberlist, where you can search for "all post by user". or add a search by username option?

I actually had to use it today and found what I was looking for in less than 2 pages. Much better than before.

Cliff, as always, you are such a class act! Thanks for improvering the search function. It seems to be faster and better than the old ones. Great job as always.

I like it! The old search was sometimes less than satisfactory.
