I've got a buzz off some Newcastle, and I'm about to head out to the pub. When pints are $6.00 each (USD) you need a pre-game .

Were getting a new pub here called "the duke of dublin", hopefully it is nice, and not some dive lol :P Ya, drinks are expensive, cost me $20 for 3 drinks for my friends. Its been suggested to have a FEW drinks, then go to the club, cuz they dont let you in if your already drunk :P lol and no, we didn't play "hide the salami" while that does sound fun, i'm not one to take home girls from the club/bar :P Don't know where they've been

BTW, this thread should really be a sticky, its not easy to find when your drunk.. Ive had 2 beers so i could qualify to post here. Ill do better next time, i promise

Any place, in Iowa, that employs people are going smoke free on July 1st, with the exception of casio's and a few Veterans places.
2 days till you can't smoke in the local bar, I'd have to drive 25 miles to a local casino to have a 'few with a cigarette' then drive home.
A small bar might have 25 people, or more, that want to have a good time and smoke. What percentage of the population smokes cigaretts? The State of Iowa, wants to protect 100% of all employees from 2nd hand smoke. But a certain amount of bar workers smoke themselves? Why not let free market work, smoking bar-workers could work in smoking 'allowed' bars -non smoking workers could work in 'smoking not allowed' bars.

Say 5% of the general population want's to smoke and drink in a social setting. If you care to figure the odds 1 smoking worker servicing that 5% is much less than the general percentage of the entire population that smokes?

I'm sorry, I forgot that some politicians are soo smart. They funded orginizations, that used government funds to lobby against private enterprise. Last year the legislature increased the tax on 1 Pack of cigarettes by $1 to help fund healthcare in Iowa. 'Health' got a ton of money (perhaps more than than they could legaly allocate for services rendered ), maybe they just allocated the windfall twords education? Government agentcy's out-spent private enterprize 20 to 1 lobbying on this measure?

I'm going to be at my local bar on the last few nights before the new 'Laws' come into effect.

Guess which political party assumed legislative and administrative control in Iowa 2006 elections?

The First Lady of Iowa is going to have to walk a block, or so, so she won't be caught smoking on 'State Property'?

I ust'd be amused, now I'm disgusted. When we get more change...........?

My wife... OMG seriously, she snores so loud that the woman across the street (houses are separated by about 100ft) left a note on my door asking my to please turn off my alarm clock before I left for work on Sundays. The noise was very disruptive to her Sunday morning.

We don't have any alarm clocks. We use our cell phones to wake up, and my wife was sleeping in.

I never had the heart to tell my chainsaw

Pop my balloon, I was hoping to hear about the 3 friends?
Been there, in my family if you didn't fall asleep before my dad fell asleep?
To this day, I can't sleep without a TV or some noise in the background.
How my mother ever knew I was sneaking in at night, I'll never know?

My friend just had his going away party tonight. Tomorrow he is leaving for Texas.

I have had about 6 7&7's and I'm doing pretty good. The best part of tonight was that my buddy was trying to get rid of all his Yen that he had by buying drinks. He never had a chance to get his wallet out we bought him so many drinks.

bumpski... well i wouldn't say im drunk per-say, but ive had 3 vodka and sprites, and 1 long island iced tea, so im feeling pretty good FYI, idk if it s just me, but i bought this stuff called 'McGuinness Long Island Iced Tea mix' (just add coke and lime juice), and i cant get it to taste good Guess ill have to keep trying (the alternative was spending $130+ on all the needed liquors to make it vs the $25 for this mix.. just dont drink enough to make the $130 purchase worth my while. Maybe someday..) Ill see yall tomorrow, having a bunch of friends over for some drinks.. Should be feeling a little better tomorrow night, than i am now

Wow, finally buzzed enough to post here again. Johnny Walker Black. Not as good as the s*** that Toddster brought to Westfest...Johnny Walker Blue, 50 year old scotch...but it'll do. Thanks, Costco!

A few more belts of this stuff, and 84Bill might start to make sense. Uh, oh...better stop drinking then.

What did I drink tonight? Lots of Rickard's White, and a Dr. Pepper. Beer, coke and amaretto. Nice drink.

ahh, company golf tourney. My team sucked pretty hard, but at least the drinks were flowing. A few Hoegaardens now that I'm home...

Rickards white, good choice. Gotta have a slice of orange with 'em though..

Not drunk, just a slight buzz. I just tried Shiner Bock. Good beer!

I just started jogging after about 6 yrs of not jogging, at all. Does this count as drunk? I want to die and can barely walk or think..

Pray for me. Is it healthy to stumble passed the 2 mile mark and feel like dying??
