I still like this one best. If I had any body/paint skills, I'd love to do a project like this one.

Lifted, yours looks good. Now ya need a winch on the front.

Isn't it strange that after a bombing, everyone blames the bomber, his upbringing, his environment, his culture, his mental state but … after a shooting, the problem is the gun?

My Uncle Frank was a staunch Conservative and voted straight Republican until the day he died in Chicago. Since then he has voted Democrat. Shrug

Cool project. I'd forgotten all about it.

Thanks!

Honestly I haven't noticed any significant difference in ride quality.

Thanks!

The original owner of OverlandVans sold tube bumbers (with optional winch mounts IIRC) and I had them on my list but he sold the company a few years back and the new owner dropped the bumpers from the inventory.

Gave up for the most part but it was always in the back of my mind nagging me so I decided enough was enough and that I would feel a whole lot better if it was completed.

Nah, not going very big, the 16" equivalent of 235/75/15s (Can't remember the 16" version ATM) that's all a 2" lift can realistically accommodate.

Finally got the larger tires. These are 235/70/16s which is the closest 16" tire size I could get to 235/75/15s:

Very nice! Needs just a bit of bling in the wheel department, and maybe shorten the rear bumper mounts. The wheels are painted, so maybe a respray with the right color/detailing would be all it takes.
