Where/how to start, ? Pennsylvania. I believe it was the previous PA State Attorney General who initiated a "sting". To expose maleficence (wrong doing) in state government. He offered bribes to state legislators to buy votes on a voter ID bill. He targeted Republican and Democrat legislators. The Democrats (five) all took bribes to vote "against" voter ID. No Republicans took the bribe offer to vote "for" voter ID. The three year investigation compiled evidence, in the form of hundreds of hours of recordings. Audio and video (of the scoundrels accepting the bribe money). Prosecutors began the sting in 2010 when Republican Tom Corbett was attorney general. The new Democrat State Attorney General Kathleen Kane scuttled the investigation. The shenanigans make the local papers. Calls are made for prosecution. Democrat State Attorney General Kathleen Kane contends that prosecution was scuttled because ... the investigation was tainted by racism. Saying that the investigation targeted African Americans. Which is not true. Whites were also prompted to accept the vote buying bribes. She goes on to say, , Anti-Bribery Laws Are Only For White People. On her charges of racism, fellow Democrat Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams who is black says “I am offended. I have seen racism. I know what it looks like. This isn’t it.”
Republicans have fallen to 29% of the voters here and no member of the party has held statewide office since 2006. Democrats have supermajorities (more than 2/3') in both legislative houses and the governorship You can be sure there won't be any such sting here..
Who has trouble understanding this? Racism causes all failure of government activities. Either that or George Bush. Hard for me to understand how any non-white gets anywhere in America with racism affecting everything like it does.
Speaking of dumb, this is" from an Email I received" (Apologies to the copy and paste king of PFF)
quote
I want to talk about Susanne Atanus. GOP voters nominated her to run against Rep. Jan Schakowsky, in IL-9.
Even most Tea Party candidates are smart enough not to say what they really think. Not Susanne Atanus. It's as if she had a chyron crawling across her forehead.
In a candidate debate at the Chicago Daily Herald, Atanus said that her top issue is the economy. The solution to our economic problems, Atanus said, is to eliminate the S&P, Dow Jones and Nasdaq indices. (While we're at it, why don't we eliminate unemployment by eliminating unemployment reports? How about achieving immortality by prohibiting death certificates?)
Here is more from the Daily Herald:
[Atanus] said she believes God controls the weather and has put tornadoes and diseases such as autism and dementia on earth as in response to gay rights and legalized abortions. "God is angry. We are provoking him with abortions and same-sex marriage and civil unions," she said. "Same-sex activity is going to increase AIDS. If it's in our military it will weaken our military. We need to respect God."
She then elaborated on her views about religious meteorology with the aptly-named Windy City Times:
"Everybody knows that God controls weather," Atanus said. Atanus said that the snap of cold weather to the Chicago area, as well as the string of tornadoes and other adverse weather, is God's response to the passage of same-sex marriage in Illinois. She also adds that she believes autism and illness are a response to abortion and same-sex marriage.
"God is super angry," she said. "Gay marriage is not appropriate, and it doesn't look right, and it breeds AIDS," Atanus added later.
Oh, and Atanus also wants to repeal the separation of church and state in the First Amendment. "I believe that maybe there should be an amendment to get that out of the Constitution, because God will never go away," Atanus said. Even if all the tornado victims and the AIDS patients wish he would.
Look: Barring an untimely death for one or the other (in case God really wants to get His hands dirty), the good people of the 9th Congressional District in Illinois are going to elect either Susanne Atanus or Jan Schakowsky to Congress in November. There are no other candidates on the ballot. That's it.
Susanne. Atanus. Must. Be. Defeated.
In 1991, when ethically-challenged Gov. Edwin Edwards ran against neo-Nazi David Duke for Governor of Louisiana, the bumper stickers read: "Vote for the Crook. It's Important." This time, the choice is a lot easier than that.

Wasn't GWB a racist too? So you can blame him for everything that way...
Less than six months on the job, the mayor of Charlotte was arrested and accused Wednesday of accepting more than $48,000 in bribes from FBI agents posing as real estate developers who wanted to do business with North Carolina's largest city.
Mayor Patrick Cannon, a 47-year-old Democrat, faces theft and bribery charges, U.S. Attorney Anne Tompkins said. Cannon was accused of soliciting and accepting more than $48,000 in cash, airline tickets, a hotel room and the use of a luxury apartment as bribes.
If convicted on all the charges, he faces 20 years in prison and more than $1 million in fines.
In your first six months on the job? He certainly is a "go-getter."
