Its quite simple really: "Faith" is a human construct created due to the inability for most people to cope with their own morality, and a lack of understanding of the universe. Organized religion was created to capitalize on that in order to scam the 'faithful'.
Ever been on a plane, Nurb? Ever flown from A to B, doesn't matter where? Do you know the engineer who said, " This is the right size for the wing bolts, or engine bolts? " Is the guy in quality control who said, " these bolts are fine " a friend of yours, and you can attest to his dedication to his job? Did either of them graduate at the bottom of their class, barely earning the qualifications for their specialty? You don't know? Talk about an exercise of faith! All of which is why I don't fly.

Clearly a 'god' wouldn't allow his 'flock' to rape and pillage at will, in 'his name'. ( unless hes a sadist, then all bets are off )

No, not because of the second half of your post, because of the first half. If you had begun with "I think", "I feel", "I believe", or "at least some", it would have been a statement of opinion and that would have been fine.
As written, it is stated as fact and that is offensive to me as a believer.
