I took it and it told me I sided with this party for this and that party for that and so on and so forth. But for the most part it said I sided with the republicans mostly 55% of the time. its just for fun

I dont declare a party. I vote for who and what I like for me. Generally, I go republican or libertarian. Ive voted for democrats, but its rare. I usually hurt financially with democrats. I dont need to take the test.

Same here. No party gets my 'pledge'. Tho i would lean towards being a traditional federalist, even then i would never declare anything as a blanket statement of support. Each candidate would have to prove to me they are worthy of my vote

Disagree. If you vote Libertarian then you vote Libertarian. There is no taking votes away from one or the other. Same applies if you choose to not vote at all.
Only surprise was with the Socialists, but I looked at their answers, and sure enough they have a few stances that I wouldn't necessarily consider as socialist (lower case)!

My Uncle Frank was a staunch Conservative and voted straight Republican until the day he died in Chicago. Since then he has voted Democrat. Shrug

I counter-disagree. It completely depends on your goals. Are you trying to elect someone or trying to remove someone. If you are trying to remove someone, the logicial action would be to vote for whomever has the best chance of beating the incumbent or his party.
If your goal is to remove the incumbent or his party and you choose to vote for someone other than the leading opposition, you either never cared to begin with or you cannot grasp simple logic.
No real surprise there.
