I see the "A123" plastered across the back of it. Those cells are pretty impressive. 70-amps out of a 2.3ah cell. Crazy. Crazy good.

Excuse me for a sec. I have to go back to the starting line, and pick up my skin.

Cool video. I'd say electric is the future of drag racing, but it's just not the same without the right noises and vibrations for "background music."

I've got a cordless drill that sounds the same. No way to pick up chicks with that.

I'll take silent but deadly any day of the week so I can hear the screams of the passengers!

So it took the electric bike over 7 seconds to complete and I followed a link to the "supposed" fastest electric dragster which was also in the just over 7 second range. Top fuel dragsters are in the 4 second range right? So electric has a ways to go before it catches up. Still I have to echo what was posted earlier. I've been to top fuel drag races. The smell/fumes from the dragsters make it hard to breath and it burns your eyes. The raw thumping sound of the power drownds out anything else your trying to hear. When they light up as that light goes green, you can feel the waves of power going through you. Electric I just can't see giving you that same experience. Watching it on TV is fun, but ever car guy/girl, heck even non car guys/girls, should experience it atleast once in their lifetime. It is that AWESOME!

I guessing the water rocket is a hydrogen peroxide rocket. It's byproducts are heat and water and a huge explosion that is contained to create trust.

"I want to go quietly in my sleep, like my grandfather, rather than kicking and screaming like the passengers in his car." <<<<<<Not my words, but I found it funny.
