Sunday I saw an expose called "Enemies of the State" which chronicled four everyday Americans who have been targeted by our Gestapo government. A rancher (from Nevada), an oilman (who developed fracking), Gibson Guitars, and a lady who founded "True the Vote". Did anybody see it ?
It seems another Ruby Ridge type incident is possible in Nevada (involving a different rancher from Nevada).

it all comes down to the money, from the article,

"Bundy’s refusal to recognize federal authority over the land under dispute and his failure to pay tens of thousands of dollars in grazing fees stems from his assertion that his family’s history trumps bureaucracy."

Ya got to pay your bill to the government for all your freedom.

Just curious.... was he using federal land to feed his cattle and not paying for the use of it? What are ranchers supposed to do with cattle on federal property?

I am unaware of the current linked rancher's specifics. The Enemies of the State rancher's (from the same state ... Nevada) plight involved "open ranges" which is federal land. Some of his troubles were due to the feds not fencing their land which was not available for grazing. They couldn't even prove the cattle were on unapproved grazing land.
I just don't know enough to tell 'ya for sure.
This/these issues extend all the way to Wyoming, and are known as the Sagebrush Rebellion.

the current rancher wants his free land
land that he never paid for nor paid rent on for the last 20 year

sounds like your rancher wants WELFARE from the government
and to be able to kill the wild life and plants by over use with too many cattle
on land he does not own but in fact belong to all of us

or as nut-con's love to say he wants other peoples stuff

Question wonder and be wierd

yes, the Gestapo Government.
when is something going to be done about the military & police agencies?
they certianly get the largest slice of the tax payer pie.
seems like a very nice place to balance a budget - by cutting deep into these huge socialist money pits
