That's what I thought too.

Why did they switch? Not like the old drugs were failing to do the job, right?

My understanding is some lawyer or group sued the state of Oklahoma to learn the name of the manufacturer or pharmacy the drugs were being procured from. They wanted to ensure the quality of the drugs. In reality, they wanted to out the manufacturer to give them a black eye for producing death dealing drugs. Many drug manufacturers have ceased making these drugs or won't sell them to the States because they don't want that image attached to them. Many states have passed laws to protect the identities of the companies.

Isn't it strange that after a bombing, everyone blames the bomber, his upbringing, his environment, his culture, his mental state but … after a shooting, the problem is the gun?

My Uncle Frank was a staunch Conservative and voted straight Republican until the day he died in Chicago. Since then he has voted Democrat. Shrug

What I understand is the previous manufacturers didnt want to supply the chemicals previously used because they were used to execute convicted criminals. Then they just stopped making them altogether, and the newer concoctions were come up with as a substitute. I always believe in keeping it simple...its always the best way. Hang them, shoot them, or electrocute them...simple and efficient.

Democrats care more about this convicted criminal than they do about the four Americans killed at Benghazi.

First off, the execution was a success, he's dead. I believe the death sentence should be reserved for exceptionally heinous crimes where the conviction is iron clad. The judge or jury should then petition the government requesting the execution which would require the government, State or Federal, to issue a death warrant for the convicted. Otherwise, life in prison is the max. Prisons are supposed to be a deterrent, they should not be comfortable. Prisoners should start out with nothing and be provided the bare essentials, if they behave properly they can earn better treatment, better food, warm clothes, access to entertainment and socialization. A life sentence should be that, the rest of your life, with no expectation of release, if you misbehave, a long time alone without human contact. Punishment of crimes is not for revenge, it is to set an example, to deter others from committing the same crime. That's why executions and corporal punishments used to be public, so everyone could see in graphic detail what would happen to them if they didn't obey the law.

someone suggested an OD for these guys. why? let them suffer. they made many families suffer, an hour before death of suffering pales in comparison to a lifetime of mental anguish for the suffering

why get them high before going to hell? they would love that. screw them
