My understanding is some lawyer or group sued the state of Oklahoma to learn the name of the manufacturer or pharmacy the drugs were being procured from. They wanted to ensure the quality of the drugs.
In reality, they wanted to out the manufacturer to give them a black eye for producing death dealing drugs. Many drug manufacturers have ceased making these drugs or won't sell them to the States because they don't want that image attached to them. Many states have passed laws to protect the identities of the companies.
