Recently when I sat down to lunch my wife had chosen an old black-and-white rerun on our OTA TV. The program was an episode of the series Naked City, set in New York City, a high-quality but often dark police drama from the late 50s and early 60s. But what caught my attention was this: As the two detectives arrived at a location to interview someone, they pulled into an empty parking space (which New York TV cops always seem to find) right behind ... of all things ... a Tucker sedan! (Of all the cars in all the ghettos in all the world, she has to park in mine!)
Edit: I don't know the name or air date of the episode I saw ... and I'm not going to watch all of them again ... but Walter Matthau was the guest star. That should narrow it down a little bit.
Edit: According to IMDB, the episode in question was titled The Man Who Bit a Diamond in Half, aired Dec 14, 1960.

I have towed one Tucker in my life My father has towed five of the Tuckers and their engineering buck (cutaway car) ---lets call it six cars.
The AACA museum in Hershey PA starting this fall will be a fixed display of four Tuckers, the buck, engines, blueprints and such. Definetly a car ahead of their time.
I was on a road trip west of MN years ago, and found one in a junky old museum somewhere twards WALL DRUG once, couldnt believe it was there, wasnt even in a temperature controlled environment.
That's a 1936/37 Cord ... an 810, I think. I was privileged to drive a fully restored 1937 812SC to a car show many years ago, but I am by no means an expert.

This is the lowest mileage Tucker in the world, with only ½ a mile on the odometer. With only 51 Tuckers made, this is the last complete car to roll off the line and has never been driven. In addition, this is also the only Tucker on display in Texas.

It would be fun to drive
It seems that all this is now is a piece of art and not really a car.
Wow, looked like a good show, and movie. I will look into watching some. Showing you age Marvin, . You just a little older than me. I remember the younger and/or lesser-known/little-known actors than the more prominent guest stars. I love seeing big name stars in roles where they were nobodies.
