The liar in chief is at it again.
Republicans have ‘filibustered about 500 pieces of legislation’

quote
Nobama
“Here’s what’s more disconcerting. Their [Republicans'] willingness to say no to everything — the fact that since 2007, they have filibustered about 500 pieces of legislation that would help the middle class just gives you a sense of how opposed they are to any progress — has actually led to an increase in cynicism and discouragement among the people who were counting on us to fight for them.”

Five hundred, really ? No. When you go through the numbers, there have just been 133 successful filibusters — meaning a final vote could not take place — since 2007.

quote
linky
Regular readers knows that The Fact Checker has objected to the way that Senate Democrats tally these figures, but the president’s claim makes little sense no matter how you do the numbers.

I wonder how many Pinochios he has earned since he took office.

The President is getting very close to using the "malaise" argument.

The Obama Malaise? Obama's high-growth quarters lags behind even Carter
Number of quarters* with real GDP growth of at least 3%

They all do it, and republicans are so much worse, I think you must be a racist and would shoot the baby Obama in his stroller if you could go back in time. The only reason nothing has worked and things are so bad now is because of George Bush.

Typical, when the Obamites have no answer, just blame Bush. Obama has never accepted responsibility of anything that has happened during his administration. He does make Carter look good.

Wouldn't even have to think about it. Not sure I could think of anybody worse than Obama.

DAMN! That made me cringe but then I thought about it.

Obama has taken race relations back twenty years or more aside from doing nothing productive.

Carter was certainly less damaging.

I also think Carter believed he was doing the right things for the country.

Race relations, way more than 20 years

Less damaging, with any luck maybe Obama will be followed by a Reagan!

Not sure I want a reagan. He a big spender.
I like a better military and better financial growth, but I think we need fundamentals like education and welfare reform and a all out attack on entitlements.
I don't believe welfare and entitlements to be the same thing.

Also our banking system needs to be whacked. Straight 22lr in the back of the head.
This ten to one lending must stop. Banks getting paid by the federal reserve to handle our money so they can make a profit on the same money.

We need more than a certain president. We need a change in the people themselves. If I had to choose a kind of president it would be one that did nothing other than expose and educate the public as to what is going on around them.
If that were his only mandate I would vote for him.

Do you know why Carter voted for obama?
He didn't want to go down as the worst president of all time.

I believe Carter was motivated by a love for this country, even if I disagreed with some of what he did.
I believe Obama is motivated by a hatred for this country. He doesn't believe in American exceptionalism. He's an anti-colonialist and is trying to remake the nation into what he believes it should be.

quote
Obama Sr. insisted that "theoretically there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100 percent of income so long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed." Absurd as it seems, the idea of 100 percent taxation has its peculiar logic. It is based on the anti-colonial assumption that the rich have become rich by exploiting and plundering the poor; therefore, whatever the rich have is undeserved and may be legitimately seized.

Dreams from his father, indeed.

I had another truck driver say almost exactly the same thing to me the other day, that President Obama has taken race relations back 20 years in this country, the driver was black.

I have to say, after talking with the guy, and thinking it over, he's right, President Obama, simply by using race as a tool to get elected, and to degrade his "enemies", President Obama has destroyed 20 years of race relations.

To me it's extremely sad, that this day and age race is even a factor in anything.

Let's not forget the long line of Democrats, many of them black, who have lined up in his support. Is there a single black elected member who hasn't supported his use of the race card?

Yep we the people, and the media hype used it as a tool. The public are the suckers.
