It's the question on everyone's mind: WWTPMS? What Would The Prophet Mohammed Say?

Well, maybe not everyone..

Qasim Rashid is the author of "The Wrong Kind of Muslim" and claims to be a voice for what he says is the largest Muslim community worldwide. Here is a 5-minute video interview with FOX News channel's Lauren Green:

Rashid also has an op-ed on FOX News in which he discusses the nexus between Islam and feminism, citing specific verses from the Qur'an and offering what he says are historically known stories of female Muslim leaders and scholars from the time of Mohammed and 200 years after his lifetime:

quote
Boko Haram’s claim that Islam motivates their kidnappings is no different than Adolf Hitler’s claim that Christianity motivated his genocide. This terrorist organization acts in direct violation of every Islamic teaching regarding women. Education elevated women in Islam to a status of equality and elevated Europe out of the Dark Ages. Indeed, education is the solution to defeating Boko Haram ideology.

Long ago Islamic history has very little real influence on contemporary extremist actions, and it matters little how many speakers claiming to be the "voice of real Islam" write articles. There's been no shortage of these type postings through out the world, and yet the violence not only continues but increases in both quantity and horror around the globe. They are "feel good" essays that probably get more traction from the non-Muslim sector than they do within the 2 billion Muslims of the world.

It would be nice if the people who did this would be caught and questioned about their reasons and beliefs before punishment.
The thing is it would seem plain to see that money and themselves is most peoples god and why things like this happen. Its sad it took 200+ kidnapped in one instance for anyone including media to finally notice this happening. Two months later now, I hear alot of talk but not sure what is been done.

It would be nice to see them caught and killed without explaining anything.
No, you don't get to spout your justification for kidnapping. You don't get to make your case on the world stage.
You forfeited your right to life when you kidnapped them. All you get to do is die, unknown, unnamed, and unremarked.
No one will know or care about your cause.

Let that be the lesson to others who may want to try it.

That said, this whole thing smells like the tail wagging the dog. Not sure why.

I understand your desire, and concern. But to me what is wrong in their heads is useful information. Though its pretty plain to see money and selfishness is almost always the underlying reasons. I personally would like to hear how they think their actions fit with their label of themselves.

The latest news reports suggest that these Boko Haram kidnappers took the girls as hostages. They want to trade the girls for the release of certain prisoners that are currently held by the Nigerian government. Boko Harams that were already captured and imprisoned by the Nigerian government.

I thought they were going to be sold as sex slaves and that they figure most of them are gone already. This is starting to sound like the missing airliner.
I also heard that the Nigerian army knew it was going to happen but did not intervene because of fear...... nice.

... called them slaves and threatened to “sell them in the market, by Allah.”

If rinselberg's report is true, it seems odd to me to wait almost a month since kidnapping to start making demands.
