I too can understand the companies decision. When talking with them yesterday I never said anything to the contrary. It is what it is. I am not an alcohol or drug user.

I am me, will always be me, and have zero intentions on changing my character.

Thanks again for all the responses. You all have never failed me.

This could be your answer, Tony.....(and kinda blows the hell out the entire drug-testing concept as a tool to weed out users)

Does this highlight another side of legalization of many drugs? More tests, more false positives for more people?

I wonder if there is any history for suing testing companies for false positives. It really does meet all the criteria for it, culpability, provable damages, time, date and place, proof.

When I was working (in an corporate environmental laboratory) we had all sorts of over site as the data was reportable to the state and federal EPA. In addition we had PAT (proficiency analytical test) monthly from some agency that we had to pass in order to continue reporting. Outside laboratories also went through the same scrutiny. I would expect that any lab reporting THC results would also have to have certification to test and report data. We would also have unannounced inspections of our lab by these agencies to verify that we were following the written procedures.

You could challenge any lab that they have a chain of custody that the sample was received and that they followed the proper testing procedure on that sample.

It has been a long time since I smoked. But this has made me become a quitter. I will never be a hipocrat (sp). I should have easily passed. I quit alcohol a long time ago. I was not a happy drinker, but I was a productive assed mofo when it came to weed.

Did the self-test you did also came back positive?

I did not do the PAML test for $45. Kind of broke. I am working, but funds are low. I moved out a few weeks ago. I did buy the self test from Rite Aid, and it showed no THC. It was a single test only for cannabis. It only showed pass or fail, and not the amount.
