From what my Doctor said, you are correct. Nicotine in small doses isn't "harmful" in a life threatening kind of way. It can even have some benefits. Unfortunately, one thing it does do is stimulate inflammation. So I take Diclofenac and Nortriptyline to reduce the inflammation that causes my arthritis pain, but then turn around and stimulate it with nicotine. I have noticed though, as I went down in nic level my arthritis has gotten a "little" less painfl, but I don't know if that's from reduced nicotine or what naturally happens each year once the weather warms and starts to even out.

The throat hit of 0 nic juice relies a lot on what the flavor is. My apple candy juice doesn't have much of a hit at all, but the cinnamon still has a bit of a hit. I've heard you can add a 1/2 a ml of vodka or ethyl alcohol per 10 ml of juice to restore some of the throat hit and as much as 2 ml per 10 ml but most find 1 ml to be sufficient. I've been told to try the 1/2 and then increase it by 1/2 ml at a time until I find the desired hit and that the amount will vary by flavor of juice. I can't imagine that small of an amount having any impairing type of impact can you?

Ego CE4 650mAh Personal Vape Pen w Clearomizer and Charger Starter Kit Vaporizer
$6.99
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ego...&hash=item4183024074

I just got the eGo T 1100mah battery with a usb charger and a cheap disposable clearomizer for 6.50 off eBay! works fairly well. The guy sold out on that lot and listed again and raised the price to 6.99. All the good colors are sold but he listed the group again on another sale for 7.49. I just ordered one for my wife so we can both have a spare battery. http://www.ebay.com/itm/231...id=p3984.m1497.l2649

I ordered two Vision Spinner 1300mah batteries with two Kangertech ProTank 3 mini tank setups and then ordered the aerotank adjustable airflow bases for them separately from another seller. 24.99 for each set plus 6.75 for a pair of airflow bases. The new base turns the ProTank 3 into am AreoTank mini for less than half the price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/161...id=p3984.m1497.l2648

I also ordered two of the regular 2.5ml size AeroTank units for the wife and I at about 13.00 each and another one for my stepson.

They have Vision Spinner 2's which are the 1600mah for 18 bucks on eBay now. That is a great deal. I am also looking at a 2600mah.

I am looking into the AeroTank Mega! sweeeeeeet they can be had for about 25 bucks but whilst research that one I found they make another called the Giant! holding something just under 5ml of juice.

Doing a banana nut bread flavor now

Interestingly enough I reworked my old Joye510 set up with the spring cart mod and it actually is working better than it ever has. With the cart mod it gives dense full hits every time. I am also very impressed that batteries work so well after 4 years. They were not cheap though, I spent more on those than all the vape stuff I bought this week.

Great price on the ATs. I think I paid about twice that for mine. I'm looking at a Mega next. Since one of the things I DON'T like about the Kangers is the inability to completely fill them, I think the Giant (wide and relatively flat) is a step in the wrong direction. They need to go taller and narrower (or figure out a way to fill them from the top). Looks like the Giant will go for about $35.

I have a 1300mA Spinner for a backup and an iTaste MVP (sadly, it's only a v1). I'm going to get an MVP v2 probably this week so I can adjust wattage for a slightly fuller vape. The AT is a great vape but not quite RBA volume. As much as I like the plug-n-play aspect of the pre-made coils, and the fact that I can fill a tank once (or twice) a day, I'm half tempted to get an RBA dripper just for the volume. I never figured on being a cloud chaser but it has it's allure.

Ok Gents, I have a question concerning the mods discussed. First off, I have been vaping for about a year now and still using the eGO-C twist clearomizers. They have worked fairly well but some of them seem to degrade rather quickly, and its getting expensive. Seems 1 in 4 that I buy will only last a few days before it fouls out, and I only might only use 1.5mL a day. I'd like to invest in something that I can build and maintain without having to dispose of the entire tank assembly. What would be a good investment that will last?

Thanks

That really depends on how far into it you want to go. The itaste MVP mentioned above is a good device. I know many people that use them. It probably won't make as much vapor as a mech mod running a sub ohm build in a dripper, but it will still produce a good amount of vapor and more consistently than a mech mod. A mech mod is just what it's name means, mechanical. It's usually a metal tube that a rechargeable battery goes in with a mechanical button you press to complete the circuit and heat up the coil, where as the itaste has a circuit board in it allowing you to vary the voltage and wattage (with some units). So the mech mod is full bore whatever your battery is in the condition to currently supply. The itaste will limit the draw on the battery to provide what you've set it up to provide. Basically, the mech mod will produce a lot of vapor right off and slowly taper off, where as the itaste will stay more consistent. I'd recommend having 2 batteries for a mech mod so one can be charging while you use the other.

Basically, how much vapor do you want to produce? Do you want a tank or is a dripper okay? I'm not sure if the batteries in the itaste can be changed, I've never owned one, but do you want to be able to just change the battery or do you want to have 2 units so one can charge while you use the other.

I'll try to take some pictures of what I have tomorrow and post them so you can see what is involved with a mech mod and dripper like I use.

What battery are you using?

Certainly no expert and far from a modder but I will share my limited experience and observations.

The Kangertech 2.5ml AeroTank is completely rebuild able in that you can take it completely apart and buy a replacement. Bottom feeding dual coil, no exposed wick. Replacement coil packs are cheaper than your paying for the disposable clearomizers. Pick from 1, 5 10, 20 packs and you can up or downgrade the power. My stepson is on a few weeks to a month on his first coil set. The AeroTank is a major step up from the Protank in materials fit and finish. At 13 or 14 bucks you just can't beat it. I am chomping at the bit to get mine this Thurs.

My Protank 3 mini showed up today and man it works very well, very impressed, it does have pretty small tank but it IS a mini after all. It will make a fine back up and guest vape set. You can get those for around 8 bucks shipped! un f ing believable!. If I was not a vape whore it would be a fine stand alone but I need more tank volume.

Ignore if you know the rest of this.......
PG, huge hit really feels like your smoking, very little cloud.

VG, huge clouds of vapor, very mild, thicker juice, doesn't wick as well, so longer recovery, harder on coils. Whish I new that last time I was into this. Explains why my 510 works so much better this time around with the PG mix. Seams like there is a lot more information out there now.

Yes it does. You should see this tiny sales chick at the vape store let go on hers, fricken volcano eruption, I said eruption NOT.............

More power is always tempting for sure. I want to get another decent volt adjustable battery and a Mega, in that order but other than juice and extra coils I think I am done for a while. At least it's keeping me from buying more guitars!

I don't think you can replace the battery in the MVP but there's no reason why you'd want to. First, it's a 2600mA battery so it lasts about 2 1/2 days even on my days off (when I tend to chain vape). Second, it's a passthrough design meaning, if for some reason you DO completely drain the battery, you can plug it in and keep on vaping. For those that don't know, the MVP is one of the few mods that's shaped like a box. Most mechanical mods are round and basically shaped like the separate battery it encases. When you want to recharge a normal mech mod, you remove the battery and stick it in a charger. With the MVP, you just plug it in to any USB port (computer or wall) and let it do its thing. The absolute best mods are either the ProVari (mech mod) or the Hana (MVP mod). Expect to pay $250+ for either. I'm not that well heeled.

No idea where I was going with that so I'll move on.

An RBA dripper atty on a hot mod will produce the biggest cloud but the AT on my iTaste does a pretty good job, too and for less money.

I usually use a 50/50 mix in my juice. Good cloud with a decent hit. I get a week or so out of a coil. The iTaste MVP and any of the ATs is a great combo if you don't want to spend a ton of money.

Sleevepapa, thank you for bumping this thread. It reminded me what was in my glove box.

Monkeyman, I'm so sorry. Been super busy but I just stopped by the post office. They said it should arrive Saturday.

This is the starter kit I bought...

http://pinkspotvapors.com/product/ego-c-twist-kit/

Always use them on the lowest setting, @ 3.2

So im not sure what tanks will fit these, but I like the idea of a tank that doesn't use a wick, tastes like burning plastic sometimes lol.

Far as I know they all use wicks, the wick is sometimes hidden inside the tube with small holes drilled to allow the liquid to coat the wick.

The eGo Twist is the same as the Vision Spinner. They use a standard 510 thread. Damn near any atty/carto/etc will fit. Probably 500 choices out there.

Every "tank" (atomizer, cartomizer, etc...dripper or not) uses a wick. RBA/RDAs (rebuildables) have "open" wicks and coils. Cartomizers/clearomizers generally have a screw in coil that incorporates both the wick(s) and the coil(s). The wick is what holds the juice. The coil (whether you build it or it comes pre made) is just a few wraps of wire attached to a positive and negative post. Works the same as a lightbulb. The positive and negative charges of the battery heat up the coil. The hot coil heats up the e-juice trapped in the wick which turns to vapor.

Coils come in different resistances (measured in ohms). The lower ohm coils heat up more and you can (have to) turn down the voltage/wattage. This saves battery life and lower ohm coils (especially dual coils) produce more vapor as they're hotter. If you really want huge clouds, try someones sub-ohm (less than 1.0 ohm) set up. I have 2.0 ohm dual coils in my AT and have the voltage set at 4V. I'm getting a Mega on Saturday and plan on running some 1.5-1.6ohm dual coils. I'll only be able to run at about 3.3-3.4V (although I'll probably risk burning up a coil and try it at closer to 3.7V just to see what kind of cloud I can produce ).

Running a mod at a specific voltage (3.2 in your case) isn't necessarily good. I'll attach a chart I found that will give you a good idea what voltage you should use depending on the resistance of your coil. On the rebuildables, you can wrap the coils differently to vary the resistance. You either use silica wick or unbleached cotton balls. The RDAs (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizers) usually utilize 2 separate wick/coil assemblies. As it says, you drip 5-10 drops of juice on the wicks, put the cap back on and vape til it runs dry then drip some more on the wicks. RBAs use the same hand made coils but have a tank. Cartomizers/clearomizers (cartos/clearos) use the screw in, pre made coils. Screw 'em in, fill up the tank and vape. Those coils are generally good for a week or so.

Where was I? Oh, yeah. The "tank that doesn't use a wick" still uses a wick but you build your own so you eliminate any burning plastic taste. Google "RBA". Probably the best RBA out there is the Rose but, at $200+, I'm NOT buying one.

The eGo isn't bad for a starter kit/back up but you'll find quickly that you'll wnat MORE. I started with a Spinner (same as your eGo), bought a cheap iTaste MVP (sadly, a v1) and plan on getting a v2 MVP this weekend. Variable wattage is where it's at. Unfortunately, you can't get that with a $20 mod. If you plan on doing any serious vaping, plan on spending some money. Good thing is, you really only have to spend a ton of money once. I think my MVP/Mega combo will do me just fine although a good dripper will be on my Christmas list.

Your chart doesn't help me . My RBA, I use 26 ga. Kanthal wire with 6 wraps on a 3/32" core, 2 coils in parallel so it comes out to about .4 ohms.

Yeah, everyone I have seen uses some kind of wicking. However, I have seen vids on youtube where they have used stainless steel mesh to make a wick in a Kayfun, Kraken or other tank style rebuildable like that.

If you want to see a insane amount of vape, this stove top build is pretty impressive. Granted he uses 100% VG for his demos usually, so bare that in mind.

SleevePAPA, I linked one of these in this thread earlier I think but,

This is a mechanical mod that comes with a carrying case, 2 batteries and a charger. It also comes with an atomizer that uses the 510 cigarette style cartridges. I don't like those because the vapor draw on them is really restrictive, but some people like them. For the $26.00ish, it's not a bad investment to see if you like mechanical mods.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kam...&hash=item3a8cb6ff89

I'd recommend getting a RBA to go with it. You can also order kanthal wire in various gauges to make your own coils and cotton for a wick is a good way to go because I've never gotten a burnt plastic flavor from it. This is the RBA I use, it's about $16.00.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/TOB...&hash=item2ed409840d

I like that one for several reasons, one big one was that I didn't have to modify it out of the box to allow for enough airflow. The Nimbus I bought had one 1/16" hole in it for airflow so I had to drill it out to two 3/32" holes as the 1/16" was just to small. The Tobh comes with six 1/16" holes in it and a tab inside that can be used to block some of those holes to restrict airflow if a certain flavor is just to strong.

A mechanical mod is nice because you can do your under 1 ohm vaping, where as your units like the itaste MVP can't handle a .4 ohm build (at least that's what the guy at the vape store I go to told me). Also, your eGo twist or pretty much any of those type of batteries will fry the circuit board if you run under a 1.5 ohm load on them. I like the RBA or RDA type of atomizers because you can build the coils however you want, with whatever wire you want and to whatever ohms you want. I have found that 26 ga. Kanthal is good for me. It's holds it's shape better than 28, but is flexible enough to make getting the coils into the RBA/RDA easier than 24 ga. kanthal. That's not saying I don't have any 24 or 28, I do but I use it less than the 26.

Anyways, figure with what I linked above, your looking at $42.00 for the mech mod and RBA I linked. Then there would be about another $5-10 for kanthal wire in whatever size you want and figuring out what you want to wick with. Cotton or Silica wick is what I would recommend there. Cotton can be gotten for cheap, except you need to boil the cotton you get from the store in distilled water a couple of times and rinse it with distilled water to get any bleaches they used to whiten it out. Let it dry and it's easy to work with. Silica wick you could probably buy it by the foot at your local vape store. It's a little harder to work with, but it lasts alot longer than cotton. Of course you will have to clean your coils when they get gunked up, so depending on how heavy you vape that could be every couple of days or once every 2 weeks. If it's more often, like me, silica will get expensive. So cotton is my choice for now.

Oh and if you search "Rip Trippers" on Youtube, he has a lot of "how to's" on building coils for a RBA/RDA.

Always use them on the lowest setting, @ 3.2

So im not sure what tanks will fit these, but I like the idea of a tank that doesn't use a wick, tastes like burning plastic sometimes lol.

Hey any of those Kanger tanks will fit. I am using my eGo T backup batt on my mini right now,

I would suggest one of the 8 buck Kanger Protank 3 mini's you will be amazed at how much of an improvement it will be from the clearomizer's your using now, or the 2.5 AeroTank I previously said I ordered. In fact the Aero 2,5 showed up today a full day early, very nice build quality and has 2 ohm dual coil with an extra included, thought it was going to be 1.5. That thing just plain kicks ass, massive hits and cloud. It is a full oz. heavier than my Protank 3 mini though but no biggie. 13 bucks, if you want I can send the link. This is a great option for hanging on to your money and greatly improving your vape. Well either one will do that but I still can't believe the price of the 2.5. I bought three not all for me of course.

I have nothing to do with selling these, just really enjoying them and passing that on.

Nothing wrong with the ProTank but pay the little extra for one of the Aerotanks. The air flow is better.

Khw --- The MVP v2 will support sub ohm coil builds. Rip Tripper has some good info but he just rubs me the wrong way.

The airflow on my Protank 3 is far easier than the flow on my AeroTank. I would think that wide open on the air valve would be the same as the draw on the models that don't have it, you would think. In fact I have read that many of the shops drill the Aero out on request, along with a small remittance.

There is/was a Mega on eBay with a cheap buy it now or offer where the guy states a buddy drilled it out.............. made me shy away but now I am thinking it may be a good thing. I like the wide open, your mouth makes a pretty good flow control valve.

Oh, and I second the spend a few more bucks and get the AeroTank, just plain a better build. All the bases are interchangeable anyways.

So far the PT3 has been decent, no real complaints with it at all. Any good links to replacement coils? Not sure how long these will last but I want to have some just in case.

Kangertech USA or eBay, only about buck and change a piece in a five pack. If you are Protank 3 or above they work in all the later models. Two's are a no go. Not sure how long they last my stepson has three or four weeks on his first set and his girlfriend has months. I have heard of people replacing almost every other week. I bet how much and how hard they are driven makes a big difference. I got an extra coil with each of the AeroTank units so I have a little time to hunt down a deal and learn what the different ohm rating do for it etc.

How much did you have to give for that Protank 3 at a shop? 1.3 or 2.5 tank? what color cylinder?

I will probably look into a v2 down the road then. The shop only had the v1. My biggest problem with vaping was that I just didn't get the amount of vapor to make me feel like I was smoking with one of the eGo style vapes. When I will take a long draw off of it and barely blow any vapor out, I was just like WTF? I mean they have a 10 second cut out on them and with how restrictive the airflow was, I'd hit that 10 seconds about 1 in 3. The air flow is so much more cigarette like with the dripper and the vapor production is actually enough that I feel like it's replacing smoking, if you get what I mean. I'm glad I did though as I haven't had a cigarette in several months now and have no desire to go back to them. I'm just glad I finally found the setup that works for me and the environment I use it in.

At first, I had no desire to wrap my own coils. Now, I'm seriously considering it. I watched a few vids last night on the Kayfun Lite. It's an RBA (good as it's got a tank) and they seem to get a good vape out of 1.2-1.4ohm coils. Only problem I see with the RBAs is that you can't rewick without dumping whats left in the tank. Still, the v2 and Mega will be here tomorrow. I'll be happy with those for a while. The local vape shop is having their grand opening tomorrow, too. They're giving away a ProVari Dragon. That would be nice to win although I never win anything.

Regarding the v2/sub ohm coils. I'm pretty sure any variable wattage mod will vape that. I KNOW it'll do 1 ohm and I've heard they'll do .6 pretty well. I'm pretty sure everything will be damn hot pretty quickly, though. One of the guys down at the vape shop runs a Hades (26650!!) and said that his mod got hot quickly and his RBA (I think he's got a Rose) got hot enough on the outside to vape the juice on his fingers. On the other hand, these guys have thousands of bucks in various attys, mods, etc, they know what they're doing and, if they melt something down, they have plenty of backups.

Monkeyman, where did you end up purchasing your Mega from? I just can't stop looking at those things

I got the second AeroTank 2.5 yesterday haven't unpacked it yet, more because I already played with the first one that I immediately gave to my stepson for his birthday. On his Spinner two it looks like a magic wand! I will set mine up as soon as I can get a new flavor juice.

The Aspire Nautilus at 5ml and rounded style looks very interesting too.

This is my blue baby, VS 1300 with the Protank three. Nothing special but it paid for itself in just three day!

Local vape shop. It is a little more expensive than on line but I like supporting local businesses when I can and the service after the sale is great (and worth some $$). I couldn't get my original AT to fire on my 1st MVP so I brought it in to the shop. They knew I hadn't bought it there but they showed me what was going on (and how to "fix" it) anyway. I wanted to try a custom mix so they found one of their tester clearomizers, mixed up a little bit of the potion and filled it up to let me try it out, free of charge. (Turns out it sounded better than it tasted.) They've given me lots of pretty sound advice, too. Sometimes, it's been part of a sales pitch. Other times, they KNEW I was going to shop online but talked to me about stuff anyway. They're willing to dicker with me on prices a little bit. We both know they can't beat the online prices since they don't buy in much quantity and they have a brick and mortar store to keep up but they'll work with me. They also give me a law enforcement discount (I work in a prison).

Another example....they don't sell clones. I have no problem buying clones. They sell the authentic Kayfun Lite for something like $100. I'll probably end up with the Kayfun Lite clone for less than $30. They know where I stand. They tried to steer me towards a Rose (for $250...not gonna happen, no matter how good it is) but when they realized I wasn't going that way, they talked to me about the Kayfun for most of an hour.

If they can come within about 10% of the online price, I'll buy from them. Any more than that and I'll buy online.

I always just popped the dropper tip of the juice bottle and poured it back into the little bottle. I had to do that quite often because my wife is like a flavorholic... She has 20+ 10ml bottles of juice and is constantly switching flavors. With the dripper we use now, that's not a big deal because she vapes until the flavors is almost gone and uses a different flavor to re wet the wicks. Before that though, I'd have to pour the juice back in her bottles and fill it with a different flavor. Yeah, she isn't to good with things like that. If she needs new coils or wick for her dripper, I make them for her.

As to wrapping my own coils, I think it's fun! I've experimented with 3 different gauges of wire so far and several different coils sizes and configurations. I've found that I like 4 or 5 wraps of 26 ga. in a dual coil the most so far and that's my everyday vape build. However, I've twisted some 26 and 28 to see what that does. I haven't gotten any of the flat kanthal wire yet, but I might at some point. I need to get more 24 ga. because I ran out (I only bought 10' of it to play with). I want to try one of the stove top builds just to see how it goes. I don't think it is something I would want to keep because of how fast he says it uses up juice but it'd be fun just to try it out.

Okay, so I decided to play with some twisted 26 ga. since I'm out of 24 ga. and made a single .5 ohm stove top coil. Yeah, just the one coil produces as much vapor if not more than my .4 ohm dual coil build. I can't imagine doing this in a dual coil build with as fast as it goes through juice with just the 1 coil... But you know I'm going to try it! LOL.

Awesome! The local vape shop (Alchemist Vapor Shop and Lounge) had their grand opening today. I spent most of the day there. I bought a 60ml bottle of 0 nic juice then won a 10ml bottle (of the same...my choice) and a (5) bottle (10ml each) assortment of flavors. I didn't win the ProVari Dragon but that's ok as I had fun. There were a couple guys with drippers on Hanas turned up to 30W. Cloud city! They were getting about 2-3 hits before having to redrip. Insane vapors. I ran my v2 MVP at 11W all day with my new AT Mega. Pretty damn nice clouds and a wonderful taste. (Turns out you can only run a .9 ohm coil on the v2.) Got home about an hour ago only because I have to work tomorrow (up at 4am) otherwise I'd have stayed til the party was over (9 ish). Probably learned more today than I have in the last 2 weeks and I'm in there a day or 2 every week.

I dropped $27 for the PT3, it's the larger tank with 2 ohm coils, no color just stainless(or chrome?), with a clear pyrex cylinder. I know its roughly double what the going price is online but its a helluva lot cheaper than smoking cigs. It seems to be a good investment, although it takes a little bit for it to become warmed up to produce enough of a satisfactory cloud. Works pretty good after warming up though. I do have the battery set on the lowest setting and at 3.2V im satisfied so far, I may go with a lower resistance coil for future replacements, also may decrease the nicotine from 18 down to 12 since it seems to have a heavier hit as compared to the clearomizers. Thanks for the help! Seems like some of you have made vaping into a hobby, and have really gained alot of GK.

That's not bad at all for buying local. I know I can smoke up the difference in a few days. We were kinda laughing about that while waiting for the "great deal" to arrive My local wants 40 though.

I hit my full size AeroTank around 3.9 to 4.3 for fast meaty hits. Lower makes good flavor but you have to pull pretty slow to get the hit. Glad you like it.

I won two Aero tank minis on eBay yesterday by accident should be interesting to see them, don't think they are going to be originals but from what I have been hearing there really is not any difference. I wanted the coils and steel tanks and extra glass so I guess I am not sorry.

The vape lady tells me there are three tiers to Kanger. Grade A found at vape stores, grade two goes to smoke shops, not perfect but work fine, and the grade three, didn't make the cut and are not etched with the Kangertech logo and model. Those are sold bulk to other resellers.

I picked up some 12mg juice to cut my 24mg down with. Dizzy not sleeping etc. Much better now.

Since you have to replace the coils every week or so anyway, it doesn't really matter what it comes with. My AT and Mega both came with 2.0 coils. I'll probably buy 1.5s next time.

The Kangers are all SS. Might be a clone out there that's chrome but I doubt it. As cheap as they are, I can't see trying to find a clone. It would be different if it were a $100 Kayfun (or a $250 Rose RBA...where's a drool emoticon when you need it?).

If your rig needs to "warm up" before you get any vapor, something's wrong and/or you need to turn the power up....a LOT. 3.2V on a 2.0ohm dual coil is at the lower end of "satisfactory". I'd say you would be better off at closer to 3.7-4.0V. I'm running my MVP at 11 watts (which, if my math is right...and I don't know if it is...is about 4.7V) on my 2.0 dual coils. It hits HARD for pre made coils. I should probably turn it down a little but it's fun.

BTW, the new style coils that came with the Mega (with the hidden wicks) are worlds better than the older style with the visible wicks.

Kanger only has one "grade". Either it's a Kanger or it's not. It's not cost effective to make a clone of a $40 atomizer. I'd call the Kanger line a "pretty damn good but not a Kayfun or a Russian" quality. For the price, they're hard to beat.

24mg juice???!!!??? I was a pretty prolific smoker. I hit some 18mg juice yesterday and thought it would kill me. Coughhack, dizzy, had to sit down. It was a big lung hit on a dripper but still.... I bought a 60ml bottle of 0nic yesterday and cut my remaining 6mg with it so I'm down to 3mg and plan to be down to zero by next week.

3.2 works perfect for me, maybe too well since Im still using the 18mg juice, will be lowering the dose next fill up lol. I figured out why it needs to be 'warmed up", the wick becomes saturated after sitting for a small period of time, and excess juice needs to be burned off in order to operate normally. I was reading/watching reviews and "flooding" seems to be the major complaint with this tank. So I removed the tip and set the unit upside down during storage, and sure enough, hits normally upon first use. It's a minor inconveinience(IMO) but it works. I hope the coils dont need to be replaced every week though I guess time well tell. Thanks!

I still think 3.2 is pretty cold but to each, their own. If you fire it a couple times without hitting it (first thing in the morning), that should burn off some of the excess juice in the wick.

Depending on how much you vape, a week or 2 is about normal. On my off days, I tend to chain vape and I get a week or less. One of the pluses of running an RDA/RBA is the coil cost. The coil(s) last(s) longer and cost almost nothing to build (except for a little bit of time). Wick is dirt cheap, too, if you use cotton.

They do not offer (we/us) a choice of grades per say. This is a quality control pull at the mainland China factory. Yes I have heard the "clones" are rebranded or non etched Kangertech. eBay has one of the 2.5 AeroTank "copies" for under ten bucks shipped right now, no brand at all on it. Would make a great spare or parts unit.
Heh, cost effective? I think you are forgetting these are all from mainland China, they will rip off and fake anything and for a lot less. I looked on Alibaba and if you want to buy a hundred of them you can get the price down to about 4 bucks.

I am doing better on the 18mg but I think I will go down a little farther in a week or two. The flavor is seams way better on the stronger juice, maybe just me.

Don't get me wrong, I am very much in the learning phase here.

Hey, what ids you opinion on this one for a starter dripper? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBay...339017#ht_2646wt_974

If you look at the first pic, you can see where the tank and base don't fit together well. Sometimes cheap is inexpensive and sometimes cheap is just cheap.

I'm not seeing what your seeing. Having owned a Nimbus clone for both my wives and my mech mod it just looks like the top isn't pushed on all the way. They have play in them so the o-rings can seal so it's possible to have it tilt a little even on the real deal. The Nimbus itself isn't A bad dripper if you drill it out instead of leaving the single 1/16" hole. It has some limitations though. The post holes are not big enough for anything other than a single 24 ga wire. So you can only use 24 ga in it if you wrap one coil, put the wire through and then wrap the second coil while the wire is in there. That is of you want to use dual coils. It works fine for 26 ga, but not if you twist it. The reason I mention this is wrapping the second coil that way is difficult. I've heard of people drilling out the post holes but you need wire drills for that as a 1/16" hole will be to big. Other than that it was a real basic dripper that works. I upgraded to a Tohb Atty dripper rather than drilling out the posts of the Nimbus because the Tohb was a better dripper in several other ways to. But I still have my Nimbus as a back up. One thing to consider is with it if you want to use dual coils your going to need to stick to your 30 ga or smaller wire otherwise you'll go to low in ohms for your battery. If you want to do sub ohm vaping you need a mech mod like mine or a battery that's regulated and can do sub ohm. Otherwise you will just burn up the circuit board in your battery. So if you plan to try sub ohm you'll need something like the Kamry I posted to go with the Nimbus. If you want to keep with the smaller gauge kanthal then you can continue with the eGo twist style batteries.

Oh, Monkeyman, did that envelope show up?

I don't smoke (gave it up for the last time 18 years ago) but I gotta say this vaping thing may be the salvation of the tobacco industry and a boon to the pharmaceutical industry as well. It appears to be an ultra effective way of delivering inhalables in an un-offensive and safe way. the cool gadget look is just a bonus, and the similarity to the physical act of smoking is just what smokers need. I expect you'll be getting a whole bunch of drugs delivered to your system in the future for whatever time of day or event you are preparing for.

You could be right about that.
