Undocumented immigrants in Pennsylvania would be able to get driver's licenses under legislation proposed in Harrisburg.

Supporters say such immigrants are already working here and paying taxes, but not having a license makes them lawbreakers just so they can do things like get to work and take their children to school.

So now these As* Holes in PA want to expand the voting base to get elected which will make it harder for Pennsylvanians to board a plane to go on vacation after 2016. We will need a second Federally approved form of ID. I am starting to despise politicians.

Didn't the liberals teach you that everyone is born with the God given right to a driver's license?

We have the same law here. The Democrats pander to the Mexicans so they will vote for them and since Calif. is half Mexican now Democrats are assured to remain in power forever Right now there figuring out what kind of ID they need to get a license and right now it looks like any old thing will do..

I think the thing to do, for all of you out there that lost your license to DWI, or other things, is to become an "illegal", and get your license at these places.

I'd do it if I needed one. I bet it's simple to do, you know, once you have whatever papers you need to become an illegal...Perhaps you can trade with someone for the ones you have now.

A similar bill was passed here but enough signatures were gathered to force a citizen vote on the issue.

Chances that it will pass are very slim.

Two previous votes on petitions to legalize marijuana dispensaries didn't pass a citizen vote either.
The legislature created a law to do so anyway. And that one didn't even generate a petition drive for a revote.

But what I don't get is that our court system through out the voters ID law. This because some of the minorities couldn't or wouldn't get a free state approved ID, drivers license or state ID that looks almost like one. But now if you are an illegal immigrant our elected officials (Democrats) want to provide a drivers license just because they may be paying some taxes. I live in southern Chester County (mushroom country) the illegals don't pay taxes, drive without a license no insurance, and live in a house or apartment with many other families mostly not related. They split up the rent and utilities. They send most of the money earned back home where ever that is. This is why I carry full coverage on almost all my vehicles no matter how old.

Isn't a driver's license sort of a "photo ID" which can be used as a voter ID which, I thought, was "difficult" to obtain by the liberal mantra and was being used by the "corrupt" conservatives to keep the poor from voting.

Public transportation is an option for the undocumented immigrants to get to their illegal workplace, who as such undocumented immigrants, shouldn't have a job in the first place.
