Washington (CNN) - You don't hear this every day at the White House.
President Barack Obama praised retiring White House executive pastry chef Bill Yosses as the "Crustmaster" for his delicious pies, at an event Monday to celebrate LGBT Pride Month.
"We call Bill the "Crustmaster', because his pies, I don't know what he does, whether he puts crack in them," joked the President, as the crowd laughed.
A straight faced first lady Michelle Obama quickly responded "no he doesn't. There is no crack in our pies."
The President, who has a sweet tooth, went on to say that the pies made an immediate impact on his health, sharing the story of his first physical after he moved into the White House.
"My cholesterol shot up," the President said. "And the doctor was like, what happened?"
"And I thought, it's the pie! It's the pie! So we had to establish like a really firm rule about no pie during the week," Obama added.
The President also said that Yosses is "a man who's made life at the White House very sweet."
Yosses is leaving the White House after seven years to work on a new food literacy project to teach young children and adults about healthier eating habits.
My mom makes an awesome hot pepper jelly, usually breaking out several jars on Thanksgiving.
My wife was sitting at the table next to the snack tray, and my Aunt was getting another cracker, cream cheese and jelly and proclaimed, "These are really good." To whit my wife replied, "I know, they are like crack, you just can't stop eating them." My aunt had a horrified look on her face, and replied, "I wouldn't know, I've never done crack."

I know. That's how good crack is....it's now used to describe something so good you can't put it down. But only good things. No one ever sez a negative thing is "like crack".
Ya gotta admit. Obama is one of the first president since Kennedy willing to show their sense of humor. Reagan is a close second. He would open up here and there with some great one-liners and comments.

Well, they don't say something is like any other addictions when describing stuff that is good. "These cookies are like Heroin!" "These cookies are like cigarettes!" "These cookies are like coffee!" "These cookies are like Meth!". Is it because crack is the only one that's "funny"?
