Deciding to get a concealed carry permit and carry a handgun is a serious decision.
To that end, I'd like to offer some helpful advice for your first armed outing.

Milk and eggs are optional, IMO, but use your own judgement.

After the BBQ, it's time for some range time. Be sure to have some training aids to help you diagnose any problems you might have getting on target.

If you're going to the range with a friend, this training aid can be invaluable.

Car care, sporting goods and toys are in the right spot. Groceries are okay for the most part. The rest of the map, useless here also. Plus we can't get nachos either, at least not until McNachos are available...

We have a 'walmart market' not too far away.. its a tiny thing, and NOT a superstore. I think just groceries, never been in there. Donno how many of those are out there.

That gives you the opportunity to tactically assess your situation to adapt to unfamiliar territory on the fly; a critical skill for an armed citizen.
Just as you never know where a threat may come from, the nacho stand may not be where you expected.
Improvise.
Adapt.
Overcome.

Which to assess first? Breakfast was a long time ago.
