Some people have nothing better to do I guess. Is there anything safe from the PC police? Is Bob the Builder next?

Obviously the author was an abused and neglected child to write such bullshit about a character that has brought a lot of joy to many children.....mine included. As a matter of fact, we are heading to see Thomas next month. My kids love trains im general and it's a shame to see some brainwashed skank try to put a negative twist on a kids show. I feel sorry for her kids.

You're probably right. Learning to be tree hugging hippies at an early age.

Sad really. When she'll probably explain to her daughter why she can't watch Thomas the Train anymore and instill thoughts that even the smallest thing is offensive no matter what. It is then that the innocence of a child is lost.

My grandson ( 2 ) introduced me to Thomas the Train, and I love it. Could be because I am getting back mentally to simple entertainment; anyway . . .

I had to believe the article was sarcasm. Can anyone be so desperate for a purpose in life that they would embrace and produce this sort of idiocy? Aren't there real problems in the world for children, can't read, can't spell, can't add or subtract, don't have enough to eat in some places? Would that the author would address these!

It could be sarcasm. But I wouldn't easily dismiss it as that either. I've seen people almost come to blows because one person was eating a doughnut and the animal rights activist was shouting at the other person because the doughnut "may" have been cooked in animal fat. So the type of idiocy displayed in the article does exist.

Not a big fan of TTTA - They always pushed the importance of "being a useful engine" and to stay on the tracks and whatnot. And that theme song. YEARG, that sonnnng. and that other "night" song too. Gah!

My nephew used to "play" with the toys - he's ask me to help Thomas (because he fall off the tracks AGAIN). I bought the poor kid a bunch of Star Wars ships and figures and lightsabers and a buncha Lego, and saved his life.

HEH, it's ALL bad...TTTA, BTB, all those kids shows... even BARNEY (with his less annoying voice)...I still have those songs in my head, and my son and nieces and nephews barely even remember them (I asked them). GAHHHH!

ME:WHAT's GONNA WORK?
kid: um...I don't know
Me:TEAMWORK! GAHHHH!!!!
*kicks a random goat*

THIS IS Seiwious!
TTTA is ok, I'll hafta read the article more during my train trip home today...

A few of the shows were ok...Big Big World was kinda 'chill'. but much of the kids shows is garbage.

I'm sure my folks hated Magic Garden and RomperRoom , and the other stuff I watched as a kid...

Guess who needs to eat some food?

I nearly stopped reading when she had the gall to insinuate that the bad guys being diesels and the good guys being steam engines and because the diesels pump out black smoke and the other pump out white, it was a race implication.....holy crap, what a nut job. How about, diesel engines pump out black smoke and steam engines pump out white as in real life??? People like this get me riled up. They look for anything that they personally find offensive and then try to take it away from everyone, when they are the only one offended.

Proof that the whole PC thing is getting WAY out of hand. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion right or wrong. If you don't like a TV show just change the damn channel. If you don't like what someone says or believes in ignore them. You should not be forced to loose everything you have because you express your opinion.
