Just partly finished my new build with an i5-4690K, seeing what we can do on air cooling. Running a Phantek PH-TC 14pe Case fans are all Bitfenix Spectre Pro's, exhaust out the top of a 230mm and an inlet in the front of 230mm. Still have two 140mm on the way for another outlet and inlet.
GPU's are running Arctic Acellero Turbo 3. GPU's are stable at a 200mhz core overclock and 575mzh OC the the memory.
Currently running Prime95, 4.6ghz @ 1.275v 61*C....
Me too, I keep wanting to add more. I ordered a cold cathode light in blue to run on the bottom to give the internals that blue glow. Sitting here at 4.7ghz @ 1.295v; 59-62*C under full cpu load using AIDA64.
I feel like the 660ti's can handle more than an 1180 core clock and a 6.6ghz memory clock, especially with the coolers on there. However it causes a driver error in BF4, which is what I primarily play for multi-player FPS. So while it passes the stress test, it doesn't pass BF4... stupid EA.
Oh well they're just place holders until October when the 8XX launches... which the only reason I'm going team green is because I love game stream. I bought the Shield Tablet, love playing Tomb Raider in bed.

Unnoticeable at worst. With the Arctic Accellero's ramped up to 85% I don't even hear them. The Phantec fans at 80% is slightly audible but goes unnoticed with my monitor at low volume or just putting on my over-ear headphones with no sound will mask it it. The Spectre Pros aren't even noticed. Honestly my reference Radeon HD6850 is louder at idle than this thing is under full load. I do also keep my tower on top of the table with 2ft of me as well.
Im also not actually worried about noise as well due to the fact I have dedicated PC's for certain task, and this one is strictly for gaming so I always of my over-ear head phones on.
Looking good! That is a fantastic looking PC, both inside and out.
I LOVE threads like this.
I need to figure out something with the GPU power cables. Every cable is hidden excluding those two but, they don't have much give being ribbons. Trying to figure out what to do with them. I hate seeing that +2 just hanging there.
Also just finished a 6 1/2hr run on Aida64. No crashes with 4.8ghz core and 4.2 on the cache. Going to try to bump to 4.9ghz in a bit. Once I get my stable clock I will start overvolting the cache and try to get a 1:1 with the cache.

I'm sure we could find you an old Pentium Pro if you want to feel young again.
Pentium Pro? Umm i'm not that wet behind the ears. Try a Z80, and you are in the right ballpark. ( tho i already have one of them, on my desk now humming away, running CP/M. More in the closet, but id never turn one down ).

I couldn't break into 4.9ghz for anything. I was able to get a stable 4.8ghz @ 1.335. Could only bump the core cache to 4.4ghz before the temps went up into the upper 70's in Aida64. While playing games I get about 55C max temps, 49C average across the cores.
Not to bad, though its no i7-4790K @ 5ghz, but those guys are liquid cooled.
Fiero_Fan_88, got any screenies of your overclock settings in the BIOS? That way, I could just copy them over onto mine. Although not exactly the same system (same motherboard & very close to the same processor), it might save a lot of trial & error...

I must say that is one sexy looking setup. I especially like the "wings" as it's reminiscent of the Pegasus wings on the Fiero badges . While I won't replace my current computer, I think I might look into upgrading it's case. Mine is currently in this case but I'd like to replace it and get the cpu liquid cooled.
My wives is in the same case except where mine is green, hers is silver.

You could actually be able to do better than me I believe. Devils Canyon runs a little bit hotter but, it is on better silicon samples. I actually didn't use the BIOS because ASRock only implemented the AUTO program and "Enable/Disable" settings in BIOS. I did everything through A-Tuning.
I basically only changed Vcore, CPU Input Voltage, CPU cache over voltage. Vcore run max 1.35, CPU input anwhere from 1.76 to 1.9max, CPU cache over voltage of a max 1.3 is what I used as a guideline.
I found out Prime95 actually kills Haswells with overvoltage and shouldn't be used so download Aida64 and your most taxing game. Using stock voltage bring your CPU multiplier up until unstable, then back off one multiplier. Add .005 - .01, rinse and repeat.
To speed up the process I used the "Auto" function which took me to 4.2 and so I set my multiplier to 42 and back voltage off until unstable. I probably started 1ish on Saturday and didn't stop until 330 when I went to bed which left a bench running. I ran all my Aida benches for a 1hr min. and gamed for 1hr min.
Oh and of coarse I've seen your builds, I watch every ones.

Here Boonie; this is where I was sitting last night post benching 4.7ghz at 1am. I hadn't touched the CPU cache yet at the point so it was still bumming along at x39 stock voltage. I was able to get to 43x multiplier before needing to adjust voltage but it taxed my temps fierce.
Ignore the Vcore voltage as it was at Idle when the picture was taken. Later tonight I'll take a screen cap. at 4.8 while running Aida64, so you can see voltages at full load.

Thanx so much! Any help I can get powering-up my brain for the task, I will take!
Oh, man THANKS !!....I LOVED that game when it 1st came out. I was playing on an Aptiva P1-120 and thought gaming would never get any better than that. LOL, I even turned down guaranteed-to-get-laid dates so I could spend an evening playing.
It's because you are one of the few people who's life freely moves in a way that makes mine joyfully humorous!
P.S. I'm a Pinsetter. (I even have to capitalize the "P" to make it sellable.)
P.S.S. I've had 6 Miller Fortune's (6.9 percent alcohol) in 2 hours in the hot sun, various pharmaceutical ingestibles, and I made a half of bottle of Cruveo Gold turn into half of what it claimed to be. And of course, some kind of "Herb" called "Willie Wonka"...topped off with some kind of Hash-oil called "Goo-Goo"...
You might not want to read anything you come across that starts with the UserName: Boondawg...unless ofcourse you enjoy ! P.S.S. I know I do!

Well finally received 2 more Bitfenix fans with blue LED. Made a mistake in my order, thought I bought 2 140mm but I got 120mm, not too worried about it as they are just a case intake and exhaust. Made a very noob mistake and didn't pay attentention where my 3pin fan connections were at on the mobo... Under that massive Phantek cooler heat pipe. Had to remove the graphice cards for access and used a pair of 45* needle nose to get down in there. Took about 15min just for 2 fan connections.
Not too sure if I'm going to need the 2 sets of blue lights I ordered as it has a decent glow as it sits. Here is a photo showing where I had to get to, they are about an inch above the molex connecter above the ASRock logo thats barely visible...
