On this day in history, in 1878, the American Bar Association was founded by a group of lawyers. Where were they at when they formed the organization ?
A bar.
As were most of the recruits for the "Continental Army" which won independence from England.

Well, until recent times, bars and pubs were the social focal points of the day..

On 10 Nov. 1776 the Marine Corps was born in Tun Tavern Philadelphia, PA. At least we are more productive than a room full of lawyers.

Shortly after this meeting the need for a Group of lawyers was created. LOL
