Well about two weeks ago I started to get a bump on the left side of my neck.So I made a appointment with my Rheumatologist at the beginning of the week.He looked at my neck and said it was a tumor,So I had to make a appointment with a specialist he recommended.Got my neck biopsied a few days ago awaiting a response about it to see if it was benign or cancerous. Not being able to get any sleep the last couple of days fearing the worst. And this afternoon I finally got the results that the tumor is indeed Cancer. Now have to see another doctor tomorrow to see where I go from here as treatment goes.I go to see a specialist tomorrow about seeing what route I need to go as in Chemo/Radiation or surgery to remove the cancerous tumor from my neck.Hopefully they can just cut it out and that's it.But then again whatever they have to do to get this the hell out of my body is fine with me.I am already on tons of meds for Scleroderma, including chemo and now this.I have no idea what is gonna happen as far as treatment goes.I am totally nervous as hell. http://www.gofundme.com/eni00c

You know what happens to those that eat healthy, don't smoke/drink, and exercise regularly ? They die anyways. Your fear and nervousness will not do anything positive for you. I pray that you can let that go. Trust in the medical system and God if you are a believing man.
Thank You everyone for the kind words and prayers.I am hoping they find out what all is going on when I get my PET scan next week. The doctor can then come up with a course of action for treating the cancer.I was diagnosed with Scleroderma with lung involvement in 2008 and was told that I has 3 to 5 years to live. And after many lung punctures and chest tubes and Chemotherapy,I have been recently told I have cancer in the tumor they found on my neck.I am totally freaking out with this new medical problem I have.I was pretty much already living on borrowed time as it is.Thank You for letting me vent about this in some way..Thanks again for all the well wishes and prayers.
I have to go get my PET scan this Tuesday to see if it is just my neck or if it is spreading throughout the rest of my body.Hopefully they can tell me what stage I am in.I hope it was caught in time to get treatment like radiation / chemotherapy to shrink the cancerous tumor. If not I might have to go in for surgery as soon as the end of next week to remove the tumor.
Sorry to hear about your tumor and I wish you the best. I know everyone in your family is worried and since we recently had a bad scare with my wife (ovarian cancer), both me and my wife send our special best wishes to you and yours. Keep us up to date.
I got my PET scan done today and it went pretty smoothly. This coming Monday I get the results back from the Cancer Center I went to. I seem to be getting this nervous over nothing so far and it hasn't helped my mind or sleep at all.I wish it was Monday already so I can quit worrying soo much about it over and over.
Why Worry? In life there are only two things to worry about: Whether you are well, or whether you are sick.
Now if you are well, You have nothing to worry about.
And if you are sick, You only have two things to worry about: Whether you get better, or whether you die.
If you get better, You have nothing to worry about.
And if you die, You only have two things to worry about: Whether you go to heaven, or whether you go to hell Now if you go to heaven, You have nothing to worry about. And if you go to hell, You’ll be too busy shaking hands with Your friends, that you won't have time to worry. So Why Worry?
Got back from the Doctor at the Cancer Center today and he said I have head and neck cancer. The cancer is treatable and was caught in time before it got any worse.I have to get a surgery to put a port into my chest this week for the chemotherapy.I will be getting radiation 5 times a week and chemo once a week,so hopefully this will get rid of it ASAP.My doctor was great and he said it is curable with these treatments and that was the best news I have heard in a long time.Thank You for letting me get this off my chest everyone.
Sounds like great news. The chemo will be rough but you can handle it--my sister did with her lymphoma and is still a spry and active young lady of 73 years.

That's pretty great news! (glad it didn't spread, and that it's curable)
