He really was. I think he may have been bi-polar or something. One minute you'd be having a perfectly civil conversation with him, and out of no where he could lash out and be a complete dick. You never really knew where you stood with him. I eventually just avoided him entirely. That's become my regular method by and large in dealing with people here I don't like. It seems to me pretty stupid to have people you know can push your buttons, and try to pursue discussions with them. You already know it's gonna go badly.

The inverse is also true--you have plenty of positives of your own. You want that those +s other people gave you to be taken back as well? I remember quite a few people either subtlety or openly asking for a more positive input to their ratings, Everyone wants accolades, justified or not--few want criticism....

Post Script: When I speak (type), I'm not trying to degrade or hurt somebody. That's what I think negatives are for.

In my time here, I've issued 2 negatives. Both users have since been banned. If someone is being a dick, I generally call them out on it but rarely think of dinging someone for having a bad day. God knows I've been enough of an ******* in the past to merit the ones I've gotten. I just wish I knew who it was that keeps nudging me left whenever I post in GFC

Went through after reading the thread about DanDamage and checked all my negs as well. Most of my negs are banned users, so can't rescind those. Left a few for egregious offenses in my eyes. Most of you are back on neutral ground....don't abuse it!!! LOL
EDIT: Brad, I've got to level with you about something. Years ago I really appreciated something you said in my defense in a thread where I was getting set upon by a pack of misfits, most of whom are no longer affiliated with PFF. (Good riddance to them.) I gave you a well deserved positive. When you changed your username (or whatever happened a couple years ago), the positive followed you.
I don't remember when it began, but I recall there were several times years later where I felt you were being quite a jerk for no reason... to me and to others. I struggled with this for some time until I finally pulled your positive, but I couldn't bear to give you a neg. So you were neutered instead ... and that's where your rating currently resides with me. I believe your rating is the only one I've ever made a change to. I wish you didn't cause me this grief.
Are you being someone facetious or does the rating really cause you that much grief? Serious question. I guess I am just not that invested in PFF.

Well criticism can be "hey you see what you did wrong there was" or it can be "you are an idiot". The thing that stinks about ratings is a neg cant really be effective criticism if there is not a reason the reciever is notified about, or even who it came from. But not showing that does cut down on retalialtion I'm sure.
Tis the Season...Well, Not Yet... But Do We Need a Reason? What season 'tis it be ? Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall ? Neither requires a reason. Our annual forgiveness season ? I forgive. I would still need a reason to change any rating I have given. I have even done that. When I found a reason, no matter what time of year.

Fantastically, Don! I've been a busy bee at work, but I'm really starting to get the hang of everything. I was struggling with keeping up with the more experienced workers on the team for quite awhile, but it's all starting to come together! I also have been able to go out traveling quite a bit on weekends, and my friends and I have been having an awesome time.
I definitely get on PFF less than I used to. I get tired of it more often than I used to. But I'm still around, and still appreciate the forum!
I'm at a great place in my life right now. I feel great and everything just seems to have come together nicely for me. Thanks for asking!

Yes, I was being "somewhat facetious", but I wasn't referring to the rating system per se. It was more the fact that I couldn't figure someone out. Brad went from being a good guy (in my mind) to someone who appeared to be going out of his way to be a jerk here. Anyway, he explained the situation. I'm less agitated now.
