This could be a lot of fun. A new take on renaissance festivals, this one is geared towards post apocalyptic fun and dress up.

Held every September in the middle of the California desert as an escapism festival where you go all Mad Max style.

Isn't the "Pirate ship" in that article the old model they used as Exxon Valdez when filming Waterworld?

I think I'd be asking for my money back if I had to pay to get into this "event".

Isn't it strange that after a bombing, everyone blames the bomber, his upbringing, his environment, his culture, his mental state but … after a shooting, the problem is the gun?

My Uncle Frank was a staunch Conservative and voted straight Republican until the day he died in Chicago. Since then he has voted Democrat. Shrug
