If it's a windy area, the increased velocity of the air may feel cooler but that's only because you have the force of the wind to blow air through the holes. It's an interesting idea and having a hot air exhaust opening somewhere else to create draft would help. I'd be interested in seeing the complete setup.

If you look at the bottles they are actually expanding it.....bottles are on the inside as shown right at 0:01.
With prevailing winds against the side of the building, the air would be blown thru the neck and expand into the bottle on the interior of the building.

From the video, "The bottle neck compresses and cools the air."
Works best in strong winds or when aided by a fan. But then who needs that contraption.................

Isn't it strange that after a bombing, everyone blames the bomber, his upbringing, his environment, his culture, his mental state but … after a shooting, the problem is the gun?

My Uncle Frank was a staunch Conservative and voted straight Republican until the day he died in Chicago. Since then he has voted Democrat. Shrug
Actually, they want to charge me an extra $50/mo to put a window unit in here.
Screw dem I tossed a few heavy blankets over the windows on the the hot days to keep the rays out, and put a couple of jugs of frozen water in front of a fan.
Considering my side of the building gets the morning sun, by 10 or 11 if I am home the worst is over and I havent been over 72 or 73 in here for free, never mind the "power sur-charge"
Kinda miss having a house, though.....I just spent all my "home time" in the basement.
They aren't much nowadays. Just bought a 6k btu window unit to use in the spare bedroom when on generator power. $120. I may never need to use it now, but beats buying a genset big enough to run my central unit.
