Edit to elaborate: I sit (by choice) in the cab of my truck for 11 hours a day, every day. I'm isolated from most human contact, and it seems that I am invisible to most of the people I see every day too. I like this, I live for it. But while being alone is nice, having someone notice you and acknowledge your existence is very heartwarming. Today I had two kids pump their arms for honks, which is always awesome, and rare. Kids are almost always on the phone, and parents are usually driving too fast for a kid to get a good arm pump going.
And then later on a couple from Indiana slowed down to wave at me. They were getting on the highway, I got over for them. They flashed me over, I got over, they passed me, slowed down so I was passing them again, and the passenger waved at me. Not only did they notice me, they took a few seconds to just wave and say "Hi".
And she used all of her fingers Don! lol
I drive all over If you see me out there wave. You don't even have to use all your fingers. (Running Ohio to Tennessee this week. Dayton to Knoxville.)
(Not my current trailer, but looks almost the same.)

Smurfs. Garfield. Cows. Undersized people. Undersized vehicles. Efficient machines/Doing the most with the least. Things that do something useful. Plot lines that screw with your mind or blow it away.
This place. It's where I go to 'recharge'. Fannin Battleground, and I like it because it is one of the few historical battleground sites in Texas that is pretty much today, just as it was at the time of the battle in 1836.
Had it not been for a local rancher that placed this gin screw in the ground in 1894, the site may well have been lost to history.
I enjoy reading, watching, and learning about earthquakes. I just came across this video that I have never see before of Fukushima in 2011. A man is in a park near Tokyo Bay and this is what is going on around him. Really great video as the earth moves and liquifies.

I'm always courteous to semis. My dad drove for years, and now my brother has his own company. I hardly ever speed on the highway unless I have a solid reason to. So when a truck moves to the left lane and is passing me, I usually get excited so I can flash my brights to signal when he can merge into the right lane. The icing on the cake is when they flash their lights to signal a 'thank you'. That's one of my little joys while driving. When they don't flash a 'thank you', I usually call them a b@$tard! LOL!
I like the beach occasionally, but I detest tourist beaches around here. So the "Happy Place" us locals go to is about 5 miles west, off-shore in the Gulf.
Usually never more than a dozen or so neighbors out there and the powder white sand bar is 100% unspoiled natural Florida.
We even play with these critters out there:
