Very interesting video williegoat. Incredible performance by someone with many talents. Her vocal skills and rhythm are unlike anything I have seen or heard. Very different and unusual by our norms, thanks for sharing!
Blackrams insisted on an unaccompanied, pretty girl, so I was looking for an Inuit or Mongolian throat singer. I couldn't find one that fit the bill, the only one that I could think of was Tanya Tagaq and I wouldn't exactly call her pretty, then I stumbled on the Siberian Shaman Lady.
Actually, I just took advantage of your request, as an excuse to post Sandra and the BGKO. She is a stunning beauty and has a masters degree in music; and I really like the band.
This next song has some cultural and historic significance. From Wikipedia:
quote
After experiencing firsthand the incarceration of Roma during the Porajmos (the Romani Holocaust of World War II), Jovanović later composed the lyrics of "Gelem, Gelem" and set them to a traditional melody in 1949. The song was first adopted by delegates of the first World Romani Congress held in 1971.
Willie, thank you for sharing the first video! It was absolutely stunning, ....musically.
I am a huge fan of all the videos you share, but this one shows skill and talent in a format few do appreciate..... heheh, my wife (still stuck in the 70's) really hated it, so that means it was superb!
As a former musician myself, I appreciate almost all other skilled artists, and please, keep bringing them to the forum!

There is so much intensity in Flamenco, but she makes it look effortless. Flamenco players are always so dramatic, but she is just playing her guitar. The double pull-offs, the subtle bends and the right hand (I know there is a name for that technique) are something to watch.
edit: I had to look it up. It's called "rasgueado". To me, it's a little like clawhammer banjo.
