I have posted these girls before. Chloe and Haruka are outstanding and the harmony on the second song (starting at the 6:00 mark) is sweet!
The same guitarist, Molly Reeves, from the first video. She plays what looks like a vintage Gibson archtop in the first video and a National (I think) steel body biscuit in this next one. edit: The Gibson is a 1940's L-48 and the biscuit resonator is a National.
The fiddle player looks like a kid, but she has a PhD in psychology.

Rhiannon Giddens is the best combination of musician and vocals out there. And she does EVERY type of music. Here are a couple of clips to show her range.

I posted this song on the previous page as a guitar duet played by Tommy Emmanuel and Kenny Vaughn. Here it is by Asleep at the Wheel with Cindy Cashdollar and Reba McEntire.
This banjo is a fretless 1886 S.S. Stewart that was very kindly gifted to me at our last show in Tokyo this past April by the master banjo player Satoshi Hara.
Bela does Gershwin:
and Rick Beato after seeing the Bela Fleck performance above:
EDIT: The Fleck video that I posted above is the one that Beato mentioned in his video. I watched it a few days ago, and the audio is terrible. I think the video below is the show that Beato actually saw in Atlanta.
Rhapsody in Blue starts at the 32:00 mark. The audio is much better. I have been a lifelong Gershwin fan and I think Rhapsody in Blue is his best work. I have several recordings including Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic, which is the best.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken plays a guitar cover of Muddy Water's "Hoochie Coochie Man" during a launch event for the Global Diplomacy Music Initiative at the Department of State.
"I couldn’t pass up tonight’s opportunity to combine music and diplomacy. Was a pleasure to launch the State Department's new Global Music Diplomacy Initiative." (Secretary Blinken.)

I was never a big fan of Fleetwood Mac- but they did a really cool song back in their early days; Oh Well....Sadly, the radio stations usually only play the first part which is 2 1/2 minutes long- the rest of the 9 minute song is an instrumental...I would suggest it has some bits of Spanish Flamenco guitar- but has so much more...If you are not a fan of Rock then skip the first 2:20 and then sit back and enjoy;

When Peter Green formed the band, they were an outstanding British blues band. When he left, they were not the same.
He deals the cards as a meditation And those he plays never suspect He doesn't play for the money he wins He don't play for respect He deals the cards to find the answer The sacred geometry of chance The hidden law of a probable outcome The numbers lead a dance I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier I know that the clubs are weapons of war I know that diamonds mean money for this art But that's not the shape of my heart He may play the jack of diamonds He may lay the queen of spades He may conceal a king in his hand While the memory of it fades I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier I know that the clubs are weapons of war I know that diamonds mean money for this art But that's not the shape of my heart That's not the shape The shape of my heart If I told her that I loved you You'd maybe think there's something wrong I'm not a man of too many faces The mask I wear is one But those who speak know nothing And find out to their cost Like those who curse their luck in too many places And those who fear are lost I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier I know that the clubs are weapons of war I know that diamonds mean money for this art But that's not the shape of my heart That's not the shape of my heart That's not the shape The shape of my heart
Popped up as a sound track from a Kevin Costner movie.. 3 Days to Kill.. a few years back. Memories leap out of a faster moving blur, time accelerating it seems, some things I had forgotten, some regrets that hurt again that much.

Bets use of an existing song in a movie might be Pat Metheny's "It's For You" in the Kevin Costner movie "Fandango". Very underrated movie. Great soundtrack. Has some sixties songs (when the movie was set) plus other Metheny tunes and even a Keith Jarrett piece.
It takes this song a while to develop. Really picks up in the middle. This scene had to be written to the tune instead of the other way around https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIaU94SXj9Y

Fandango is one of my favorite movies. It hit home because of my age and turning 18 during the era it presented. I've been out there, to Terlingua, Alpine, Marfa, Ft Davis, Monahans (the white sand dunes are real) and parts of Big Bend.
The train being lassoed and jerking the bumper (and whole front end) off was great, but the whole movie was too.

I have been boat camping at Trinity Lake in N. CA since I was 5 (1965)....did not have a boat from 1979 to 1998...Bought my CVX-20 Jet and started doing it again in 1999. Water skiing, boating, swimming, etc. Usually, every day the wind would come up in the afternoon- I would then sit in a chaise lounge chair in the shade and read a book or magazine- thru the trees you could see the wavelets reflecting the sun.
My favorite female rock album is Dreamboat Annie- the first album by the group Heart- some really good rock songs (Magic Man, Crazy on You, Sing Child, etc) but the songs are bracketed by three different versions of a song; Dreamboat Annie....
My favorite line in these songs is "Riding on the Diamond Waves"......Reminding me of those wonderful times, relaxing in the afternoon- with my dog Skye (RIP)...Looking out at those sparkling waves....
Two pics- First is the chaise lounge with my dog Skye lying to the left of it...the second was my father's favorite picture he ever took; "Last ride of the day" (1976)

Pretty song, always liked it. I was able to see Heart play live... in my high school cafeteria! This was back in 1972, when Heart was still playing covers of Led Zep and Deep Purple at local clubs and at school dances. It's difficult to remember that far back... I don't believe Ann had joined the band yet, but sister Nancy was rocking the guitar!
Some of Li Otta's compositions reflect the varied cultures of Eurasia. The title of this song "Гуцульская" refers to an ethnic group who live in the Carpathian Mountains along the border between Ukraine and Romania.
This next one is called "Greek"
The instrument played by Ekaterina is called a bouzouki.
