In the beginning, I thought she would be the Dem's nominee, for all the same reasons ol' Joe grabbed her up for his sidekick: race and sex gender. When is the last time we had a descendant of slave owners on a presidential ticket?

I'm feeling better and better about about Trump's chances every day, and Martha is nipping at the heels of the spaceman. We might just be alright after all.

Obama hustled cell phones to get the lazy, unemployed, welfare cases off their asses and vote for him.
Biden hustled a black woman with the hopes of becoming the next Obama.

Hopefully society doesn't get fooled again.

Kamala is one aspect of Lakshmi, Vishnu's wife. She is usually depicted as sitting on and/or holding a lotus.

So now we know how Biden made his choice: Obama on Harris as VP: 'Joe Biden nailed this decision'

So, ol' Joe has something in common with Willie Brown.

edit: Does anyone think Obama was oblivious to the double entendre?

I guess those "Sanskrit's" were ahead of their time.

Most Hindu texts were written in Sanskrit.

Also, as most are probably aware, the lotus is in the Kama Sutra.

I just learned that Kamala Harris' mother was Indian, and her middle name is Devi (which means goddess) so she is almost certainly named for Lakshmi.

Yes. I don't think that Obama was thinking about the (alleged) dalliance between Kamala Harris and Willie Brown when he said (as Obama is quoted in The Hill) that "Joe nailed it" with this selection of a VP candidate. I just think it's too much of a "stretch."

I am calling it the "alleged" dalliance... sexual affair... adultery... indecency with respect to Mrs. Willie Brown.

All that. And I believe it. I think it happened. I think that Kamala Harris jumped into the sack with Willie Brown, back in "the day."

But I don't think it was in the front of Obama's mind here. I don't even think it was a subconscious thought or a Freudian "slip."

To say that someone "nailed it" is just such a common way of saying "I like what he did."

So yes, I think that Obama was actually oblivious to this particular double entendre.

She all but said "Joe you're a RACIST", ......right after she didn't.

It will be a lot of fun how she tries to plaster over that now and how she tries to handle all of Racist Joe's utterances since then.

It will be even more fun watching how two of the most empty ideological vessels ever to run for the two highest offices in the country try to pretend that they aren't.

I also agree that the President's odds just got a LOT better.

2020 Lotus Evora GT

Not as affordable as a portable or homeowner-sized Seawater Desalination System, but personally--I'd go for the Lotus. As long as someone else were picking up the "tab."

I have already asked a group of people earlier today if any of them thought that Biden actually picked her himself. So far the majority is NO!

Biden may be winning the race to dementia land--at least that would be a popular thing to say on this forum--but it's not like Trump isn't giving Biden a "run for his money" in that department.

This is a 12-minute video segment on YouTube, but the good part comes right at the very beginning.

Seems like there are better choices out there for a VP pick. The primaries should have taught him that the voters didn't want her?
But then, politics have changed in that very short amount of time.
Sooooooo many other better qualified people out there that have much less baggage and fewer fights and sound bites that Trump can capitalize on.
Given the changing political landscape, you would think that her term as AG of California would count against her because of the number of people she help imprison for what is now considered minor crimes. She is/was the establishment that the defund crowd want to take down.

I hope you're correct but, I have to disagree. Picking a black female was done to help secure women's votes and black votes. Neither of those two groups should be snickered at.
I believe picking her may have influenced a lot voters from both groups and probably help Trump solidify his base but, that base was already in his corner. While I won't vote for a Biden/Harris ticket, I'm concerned that many will. (Mostly Trump Haters) As is evidenced on this board, not everyone is a Conservative and there are a lot of silent voters out there.

We'll see what happens. I'm looking forward to the Trump/Biden and Pence/Harris debates.

You have a VERY valid point, in fact I am thinking much the same way. I think it comes down to Trump haters and gullible idiots who believe propaganda on cnn, or people who do not want to see America go socialist.
Trump has a lot of fodder to work with, cnn only has the same old barf they have been spewing for years.
Realistically, Trump has not changed America, but joe and crowd keep banging on the "fundamentaly change America" that obama made famous.

In a nut shell the middle have a choice between major changes or keeping a traditional America.

The Dems have been focused on race for many years. They seem to think that it is important to field a "Black" candidate on their presidential ticket. Can anyone explain to me why their ticket has never included a candidate of African-American descent, or why have they never included anyone with two black parents? I'm sure that there are plenty of qualified Democrats with two black, American parents.

Now before anyone tries to define the above question as some kind of racist rant, remember that it is the Dems who proclaimed that they had to choose a candidate of a specific race and sex. I am only asking why they seem to have so much trouble doing that.

Out of the four parents of Harris and Obama, only two were black and only one was born in America. So how "African American" are they, really?

The point is, we should stop worrying about sex (gender) and race, and focus on finding the most qualified candidate.

According to Bruce and Rachel, ol' Joe should just proclaim that he is a black woman. Anyone who argues with that is a fascist.

I just got done listening to Michele Obama's speech and I have a question:

Can anyone tell me why in hell Kamala Harris' parents chose to move to such a horribly dangerous, racist country?

I made a vow to watch as much as I could of the DNC "convention" last night.

They absolutely painted the most bleak and terrifying picture of the United States that anyone could have possibly ever heard.

THAT is the way that the Left sees this country.

They HATE IT.

Would you hire someone that hates animals with a blind fury to care for your beloved pet?

Donald Trump has nearly 29 million likes on Facebook.

Joe Biden has 2.5 million likes.

Kamala Harris has 1.4 million likes.

Not that this means anything, but Trump has a way larger following and his approval in the Republican party is around 95% and highly dedicated. They will go to the voting booth, virus or no virus.

The left on the other hand, is terrified of the virus. Even if the democratic strongholds stuff the mailbox with votes, it doesn't matter because of the electoral college.

I give Trump an 80% chance of winning.

Just my opinion.

Well, I hope you're right but, I personally believe Biden has a very good chance of winning. My "guess" is, he'll get the popular vote and win the Electoral College by a slim margin. Biden will win all of the Blue states and some of the Purple ones. I am not confident there will be enough Red Electoral votes to carry our President to another term. I see socialism as taking over the US because most folks want all they can get for free. I truly hope I am wrong. Conservatives need to VOTE!
