Yeah, Dylan wrote that. But IMO, Hendrix performed it better. Here are examples of both, so the viewer can judge.
As a side note: That's how I feel about most of Dylan's songs. He's an amazing songwriter, but a mediocre performer. Put one of Dylan's songs in the hands of a talented performer, and you get something magical.

Yep, Hendrix took it in a whole new direction, which is the way a cover song should be.
Here is another Dylan song done just right by the Byrds. Lloyd Green's opening pedal steel riff is magical.
and Marty Stewart doing the same lick on Clarence White's B-bender.
and my attempt at the same pedal steel lick

Both were poets, but Cohen was much more profound.
Listen carefully to a deeply stirring song about ego, one of his best.
While listening to that can you naturally hear Dylan performing it? If you can, I know I can hear a familiarity in Leonard's performance with Dylan's recordings. There's a belief that Leonard was behind all Dylan's material. Joanie called Dylan a plagiarist back in the time. I tend to believe that there was specific subject matter of his material intended to be done by Dylan.
Heh... I have this on CD currently in my CD player in my 1973 Volkswagen Bus. Haven't even seen my bus in over 5 years, and it's been in storage for basically a decade. I've also got The Guess Who, Gold Earing, and several other awesome songs on the mix CD... haha.
That said, boondawg very well knew that making such comments *now* is cause for a probation and in his case (because it would be his fourth) a permanent ban. But like I said, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and let this one slip by. But after this - no more. A repeat will result in an immediate and permanent ban. Boondawg's bucket is full and it just takes a tiny drop...
I suppose, he 'could' get a new username in a few months as a few (very few) others have and quietly slip back on to PFF.. but I don't think that kind of thing is in his nature.
I would suggest some caution. It wouldn't surprise me if someone shows up to say that calling for, or even suggesting the banning of a forum member is in and of itself, a transgression of the civility that is listed at the very top of the list of the posting guidelines.

I asked my friend Doris for some advice on the matter, and here's what she said to me...
About 8 forums are. This one exhibits much unhealthiness from a few people. Did Boon own a Fiero?
When he first registered and still lived in Alaska he owned one. Like lots of PFF members (myself included) he divested himself of it after a couple years. I no longer own one but I have had as many as 5 at one time.
Haven't been in this forum before recently so the major personalities here aren't all familiar. Patrick is. He exhibits more rational behavior in the other forums, but out of sync with his presence here. olejoeddad (sp) has the same presence. I like Patrick way better in the other forums. olejoedad I like better here. Work on that guys.
I still have Fieros. One runs and drives but is down the list of drivers.

Leaving personalities out of it, I have owned 20 different Fieros, all but one were 88 Formulas or coupes. Still have two. One is a stock CJB T Top car the other is a 3800SC, 5 speed manual rocket. Bad knees make it difficult getting in and out. How’d you like to have another one? 😜
