This is actually a real photo, right ? Some gala somewhere, the wigmaker just using the photo to flog the stuff. I am amazed at how perky the wigs look, so very chic, and so, like, '80s. Did Farrah Fawcet wear a wig in all those poster shots ? Does that girl actress, you know, Katnip from the archery future. Ummm...
And what about the CosPlay gal in purple ? Is she a real actress ? That is a real wig. .. Synthetics, the future.
Cos the purple wig on this young actress has got to be more than the others, right ? ' There I was , on a mission for love, when she came into my life. ' ' Of all the off planet dive bars... ' Yeah, the future. I can't tell if she's real. ' You know, this could be the beginning of a wonderful relationship ! ' ~ Bogart, '42
See, the reason for the post, is the theory that, the sales bot algorithm reads ' Fiero ' then calculates, ' old car guys ', then ' what old car guys like ', computing... ' T and A ! ', Cha -Ching ! Somehow, the sales figures don't match the looky looks. I'm not in the market for a wig, though a Scarlett as passenger in the fine suede seats of the Fiero, is a plausible... probability. She gets in, ' Hey ! This isn't a Ferrari ! ' ' It's a Fiero, Scarlett. ' ' Oh, ok, Vince. ' I started the V-12.
And so then, thereafter we all lived forever, happily in the land of milk and honey. fin.

Scarlett is an actress, she's always in some prop costume, just like the Cosplay women, some better crafted, some just better fitting the shape that ticket buyers pay for. It is true that sex sells, vacuum cleaners, toothpaste, cereal, just about everything on the retail markets. Somehow, even synthetic oil.
How can it be permissible She compromise my principle, yeah yeah That kind of love is mythical She's anything but typical She's a craze you'd endorse, she's a powerful force You're obliged to conform when there's no other course She used to look good to me, but now I find her Simply irresistible Simply irresistible Her loving is so powerful, huh It's simply unavoidable The trend irreversible The woman is invincible She's a natural law, and she leaves me in awe She deserves the applause, I surrender because She used to look good to me, but now I find her Simply irresistible Simply irresistible Simply irresistible (She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went) Simply irresistible (She's all mine, there's no other way to go) She's unavoidable, I'm backed against the wall She gives me feelings like I never felt before I'm breaking promises, she's breaking every law She used to look good to me, but now I find her Simply irresistible (She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went) Simply irresistible (She's all mine, there's no other way to go) Her methods are inscrutable The proof is irrefutable, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh She's so completely kissable, huh Our lives are indivisible, yeah yeah She's a craze you'd endorse, she's a powerful force You're obliged to conform when there's no other course She used to look good to me, but now I find her Simply irresistible (She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went) Simply irresistible (She's all mine, there' no other way to go) Simply irresistible (She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went) Simply irresistible (She's all mine, there's no other way to go) Simply irresistible
Simply irresistible She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went Simply irresistible
I see her as resembling Sean Young, in Pet Detective.
The scene in ' BladeRunner ', while at the piano, lipstick...

PFF system bot... pop-up ads that... supply us with PFF. ' Shein ' ads are the thing that's so hot, like the Sears catalog way back in the early '60s. Today, it's the ' SHEIN SXY Draped Drawstring Side Lace Up Backless Satin Bodycon Dress ' Yep, a nice side benefit, an incentive. Motivational positive reinforcement, a Pavlovian reward, like sticky stars, upvotes and kisses.

Hmmn, That's a different pop-up than my browser. The photo entirely disconnected from the accompanying ad, a Chinese ad exec coming up with what he thinks, is how we think of what is in the photo. ' There is nothing inappropriate at the airport, or her travel clothes, at all. ' Clickbait. Nice clickbait. Shiny clickbait. ' Mmmm, clickbait ' ~ Homer Simpson.

Same reason I get them almost exclusively for farm equipment, land, trucks and home improvement.
I don't do internet searchs for women's underwear..
OK, in the interest of Science, I just did a Google search for ... women's underwear and cocktail dresses. I'll report back if the PFF bot changes its tune ...
Today, it's Alibaba and trinket jewelry in the outline of a brassiere, which worked, dang it. lol !
Yeah, I clicked it, repeatedly clicking for the same result. Am I wrong to click clickbait ? If it feels so good to click clickbait, how can it be wrong. ? ' I love you beautiful ! '

I see the shein ads at work. I've never gone to their site on my work machine in the office. Someone else in my family has shopped there using a computer at home. (FYI - some of their stuff is "ok", but a LOT of their clothes are CRAP!)
It's actually annoying because I honestly don't want to see ads like that at work. Ging to try PFF from a different machine at work logged in (to the computer, not the forum) as someone else and see what ads pop up.
I get ads for all kinds of random crap because every time I see something I don't understand, I click on it to see what it is. I think this creates an ever increasing spiral of weirdness. It's a hobby.
Originally posted by maryjane: I'm currently seeing bike and AARP stuff, which makes total sense. I'll be concerned if funeral home and coffin ads start popping up.
Deep existential brooding.

That's what the AI's been saying for about a decade - as it plays with all the humans - "It's a hobby". messin' with traffic lights and manufacturing plants (add some peanuts here, some metal fragments there...)
The nature of man, going where ... Having spent a lifetime perusing scantily clad models, clothed in every fashion imagined, I had to turn my head sideways at the one with all the tats, and horn implants. Some leather and handbags, thigh-high boots. I had reservations, but then... must find the edge of the Universe, our destination, ultimately.

ChicMe ads poppin up ! I think t's wrong to crop the photos like that.
Triggering great memories from 1968, a certain scene, an intimate scene, lovin all night long. Why vans are cool, '66 Econoline, my escape vehicle, bald tires, wheezing 240 six. Magic Carpet Ride.
You know, you know, looking ahead to the future... A Space Capsule, to make the journey to resurrection, when new life, more life, is possible. ' How long have I been, uh.. dead ? ' ' 440 years, You're in the 25th Century ! '
Cheer up ! By that time the dempartie will have been gone for four centuries, thank goodness. lol
Arrgghh ! ' Do not change quoted text. ' Patrick, you've falsified my text. It's in breach of a forum rule that applies to you. You don't have right to lie about member's posts. Perhaps a bounce will sort you out.
