I have been a big Leonard Cohen fan since I was about 16 years old. My favorites are "Famous Blue Raincoat" and "Avalanche"
Side note: There is some context in "Famous Blue Raincoat" that relates to a thread in another section.

You haven't heard me say anything positive about Justin Bieber. I've never listened to a complete song of his. Ever.

On the other hand, I've watched/listened to Celine Dion going all the way back to when she'd perform as a young girl on CBC TV. She may not appeal to everyone's taste in music, and there's plenty of what she does that I can't stand, but there's no denying that this woman has got an incredible vocal range. Listen to how she effortlessly tackles this tune originally recorded by Roy Orbison.

maryjane likes Shania Twain
Referring to Justin Bieber like it's our fault. We didn't do it.

We didn't do it, but, Justin did do it, repeatedly, passionately.

A classic by Shania...

...and IMO the best rendition of Cohen's Hallelujah ever performed, and done by another Canadian. Ya ya, curb the "dyke" comments (for anyone who might have them). KD Lang can sing.

When I was young, I remember seeing Roy Clark on some talk show....there was a rock guitarist on there also....All of a sudden, Roy started playing some rock music on his guitar- the rock guitarist was stunned and impressed.

Always have considered Roy Clark to be the best guitarist>>>EV-ER<<

Here is the only video I could find of him playing rock- "Johnny B. Goode" (Not what I saw him doing tho...)
