There are still Pirates in the world today. Off the coast of Somalia, else where, and recently pirating movies, music, computer systems, ....
None of them say "arrg matey", "walk the plank", ....
Dave Barry made it popular while back...
*googles it* Award-winning humor columnist Dave Barry played a major role in popularizing International Talk Like a Pirate Day, which is celebrated on September 19th each year: Origins In 1995, John Baur and Mark Summers were playing racquetball when they started speaking like pirates and decided to make it an annual tradition. They chose September 19th because it was Summers' ex-wife's birthday, and it was easy for him to remember. Barry's role In 2002, Barry wrote a column about the two men and their idea, which helped turn the holiday into a global phenomenon.

The first time I saw "talk like a pirate day" here on Pennock's... I immediately searched it up on Google, and ran into a site that gave me a trojan dropper and all the **** was going crazy. Hahah...
Talk like a Pirate day is the one day I try to avoid Pennock's. Thank Goodness this one passed by without me even knowing about it. You guessed it, I'm not a fan.
