Anyone else have swollen hands by the end of the day when you do upholstery work (like installing seat covers with hog ring pliers)?
It can't just be me... my hands are sore as **** right now... and I only did one seat so I'd know how / what to tell my daughter to do the other one. It's crazy...

Hahaha, oh the memories, I did Mr Mike's seats last spring, after a day of work, with another one the next day, I was up till 3 am, I did both seats, as well as swapping out the headrest speakers (I used pioneer 2 way 4" with a metal grill over the opening and some cotton over that to minimize the "hole"), installed them both, and I had to partially redo one of the seats because I had forgotten the headrest hog rings. My hands were swollen and I could barely move them haha, it was a hard day at work (tire shop) the next day haha.

Not I. I also did Mr Mike leather covers, a long time ago. I think the hog ring pliers came with my order. I could not tell you where they are today. My vocation enabled my hands.

Not all hog ring pliers are created equal.
Did you use something other than the hog ring pliers he included? I've done seat covers in the past with those cheap-s**t pliers that came with a JC Whitney order back in the day (do they still exist?)... but the ones that came with Mr. Mike's order are actually pretty decent... but yeah... haha...

It's not as high as it has been... I think it's actually pretty decent now that my wife makes me work out 3 times a week with her. So it's not awful. My hands don't feel so bad this morning, but man, when I went to bed, they were sore.

Dude, I'm glad to hear... if your hands hurt after doing that... I know I shouldn't feel bad then! Haha....
Yeah... hog ring pliers will give your hands a workout. I had one really crummy pair. I forget where those came from, but they were mostly just metal sticks with cups on the end to compress the hog rings. And then I have another pair, with plasti-dip on the handles, that work much better, and are easier on your hands.
First set of Fiero seats I did was a bear, since I didn't know what I was doing. But try doing a set of Miata seats. Lots more to those covers. (Mr Mike makes covers for both. The usual top shelf quality.)

Best thing stay active as much as you can. Good for your wife, just came in after going to war with the hedge in the backyard. Last year this time I would have been done, but other than being hungry I dont feel bad at all.
