Well, I know of at least three other folks that will be riding along with me and one other that will be driving. Looking forward to this event as always. Who else is going to be there?
I am going to try to make it with a truck load of parts left over from my 88GT anyone from Ga. going that needs somthing hauled there let me know I will be taking my truck and if need be I can haul my trailer as well. as for the stuff I will bring it is all going to be make an offer no set price on anything I want it all gone! I need the room as well as the funds to finish my car.
I'll be there for the 11th consecutive time. I've been to every Swap Meet and I'm not missing this one. I can always remember how many Swap Meets there are because I attended the first five weeks after I was married. Since my bride and I just celebrated anniversary #10, this must the eleventh swap meet!
Scott will be coming with me (as usual) and Pete will meet us there (as usual). I don't think we'll be bringing a Fiero though I nearly have one finished. The venerable Escort has been replaced by a 2003 Ford Focus ZX5 and I'm looking forward to the drive.
I can hardly wait. And I'm looking forward to stuffing myself at La Alameda.
24, 25, and 26 April. Most folks will travel on 24 and 26 April, most folks will spend the day at the Fiero Factory on Saturday. Evenings are fun so you want to be there Friday and Saturday nights.
For anyone who's "on the fence" on going...try to make it. There is likely going to be an interesting announcement made, and many of you won't want to miss it...

I'll second the "won't want to miss it".
Just made my reservations at the Quality (usta be Comfort) Inn.
I'll FINALLY make it after several years of wanting to get down there. I dropped Betty off last weekend to get Ed to put a new clutch in so I'm going to slip down Friday to pick her up and hang for a day....
I still don't have a job, but I'm applying everywhere, so you never know what could happen. I gotta at least land a job, even if I don't start working before the Swap Meet.
Eventually I will run out of businesses in this town to submit my application! Guess I need to start hunting & fishing to bring home food, and start a real garden.

I should be there. I'm worried about my truck making it. Holding out for a 2010 GMC Sierra with the 6 speed. My trans has had some problems. Making some noise but it may be the muffler. Hard to tell.
No credit cards. Cash or checks only please.

Officially me and the wife and the Fiero will be there this year and i will actually have some money this time. I am about to do a 4.9 swap so i will be paying close attention to all those in attendance and will be hoping i can get insaight from Ed and Jeremy on the intricate details. Lokking forward to seeing everyone, i will be the 86 gt with the limeted edition stripe kit.
The van is loaded with Whodeanie's and my stuff to sell. We'll both be coming Saturday morning and leaving after the drawing. Anybody need some chrome 15" wheels with 3 decent tires? Whodeanie is selling a red rear bumper cover from an 88 that looks to be in VERY GOOD condition, an 88 dash and other beechwood interior pieces. What's the name of the Mexican restaurant that everybody loves to eat at? We'll see all of you there!

Weather.com sez highs in the low eighties all three days, little to no chance of rain. Sounds better than the last couple of years! Gas is cheap(er), weather's going to be nice...no excuses!

Anyone have a need for an 88 cradle? I've got a couple of them sitting here, one is sitting just like it was dropped from the car minus the engine, the getrag, axles, brakes, suspension is all complete, the other is just the cradle from an 88 coupe. Not sure that I will even have room for them but, you never know.
Edited for spelling, brakes versus barkes. Oops.

I'd be interested, depending on how loud the barkes are. My neighbors may complain if it barkes loud enough to keep them up at night.
i have reservations made! should be there about nine or so, will someone have a cold beer or should i furnish my own?lol. it does not look like i will get much done this week except for cleaning the fiero. i don't know if anyone has mentioned it but has anyone thought about an emergency hotline incase someone breaks down? i would gladly respond to a stranded fiero if we could get a cell phone list going with our directions of travel so we may help others, after all these things are getting old.

I think that is a wonderful idea but, I doubt too many folks want to put their cell phone # on the internet. I'd suggest that anyone heading to the Swap Meet have Fiero Factory's # and if they have a problem, call there. I would be willing if possible to assist with my truck/trailer. But, traveling there, I'll already be full so I won't be able to transport anyone. Once there and unloaded, I could respond.
I think I know what the news is. I dropped the car off there last week and noticed something, and putting that together with the 'big news' comment, think I have it nailed.
I'm all booked at the Quality Inn University, family is ready to come see some kick-butt Fieros. They were floored to see the place last week, so it ought to be real fun for them.

I think several of us know the "secret" but, just like you, we're not spoiling the fun. Oh yeah, bump for a great time.
